It's the next day and I wake up, getting ready for school. I wear some jeans with my Hellfire shirt under a jacket. I style my hair and do my makeup. I look in the mirror admiring myself because everyone deserves some self love. I go downstairs to eat breakfast with my family.

As my dad is reading the newspaper and my mom is chewing on a black olive, I say, "I'm going to have the night shift today so I'll come home after school, but I'm going to work later on." My dad sighs, "Ok, be careful." My mom says, "I'll make fasulye (Turkish dish) for you to eat when you get home."

I smile, "Thank you, Nancy should almost be here. Thank you for the food, goodbye." They say bye to me and I wait at my door till Nancy comes. I get in the car and we drive to school with the radio playing some music.

Once we park, I get out of the car to go to my locker. As I'm walking, I see Billy smoking, leaning against his car. I stare for a bit too long because he catches me and winks at me. I turn my head and go inside. I don't like him, but it doesn't take away how attractive he remains. If only he looked like a turd so I could completely erase him from my memory.

I go to my locker and put my chemistry book in like usual. "Morning," Eddie says. I turn my head and see him leaned against the locker beside me. "Morning," I replied. He asks, "How was work yesterday?" I shrug, "Same as the usual. Nothing much. How was your day yesterday?"

He responded, "Same as usual...so are you coming to the Hideout tonight?" I nod, "Yeah, if that's cool with you." He says, "Yes, yes, please come." I say, "I will." "I can't wait to see you and Dustin head banging again. It was hilarious," he laughs.

I playfully punch his shoulder, "It isn't funny. And there'll be three of us head banging tonight." "Who else," he raised his eyebrow. I say, "Steve is coming too." He says, "Steve? Like your coworker Steve?" I nod, "Yes, but he's not just my coworker. He's Dustin and I's friend you know. And I think the two of you might get along. Maybe."

He says, "Yeah, me and Harrington get along I guess. But why is he coming to the Hideout? Doesn't seem to be his scene." I shrug, "I don't know, it's not really my scene either but I'm coming. Anyway, we have to get to class before the bell rings, bye Eddie." "Bye Ilayda," he replied.

I go to math and he goes to his class. During history we don't have a chance to talk to each other because we were busy reading about old wars. In biology and literature I sit doodling on my notebook while the teachers ramble.

Once it's lunch, I get my food and sit at my seat. Gareth asks, "Where were you yesterday?" "Reading outside," I replied. Jeff says, "So who's coming to Hideout tonight?" Dustin says, "Ilayda, Steve, and I." He looks at the other freshmen asking, "Anyone else?"

Mike says, "I'm going to El's house today." Lucas says, "Max and I planned a date like a week ago, sorry." I look at Will, "What about you Will?" He shrugs, "I don't know." Dustin says, "Want to come? I'm sure Steve and Ilayda are going to be talking all night, I need a buddy too."

I can see Eddie side eyeing Dustin as he speaks. Will says, "I'll see about it, but most likely I'll come then." Grant says, "Wow, our biggest crowd yet." I say, "I'm sure one day you guys will be selling out arenas." Jeff says, "We can dream."

I eat my carrots and Eddie says, "Looks like we have Bugs Bunny at our table." Everyone else laughs, while I throw a carrot at Eddie's face. I say, "I'd be Lola Bunny." Will asks, "Who's Bugs Bunny then?"

"Me," Eddie smiles. I threw another carrot at his face, "You'd be Wile Coyote." El asks, "Who would I be?" "I think Tweety," I replied. Gareth says, "What about me?" I shrug, "I'm not going to tell everyone which Looney Tunes character they are, go find out yourselves."
