"It's not my fault you don't like girls!" Mike yelled without thinking. Will was taken aback, why would Mike say that? He was worried that Mike found out, was he really that obvious? What does Mike really think of him?

Will's expression had changed from angry to worried, confused, even. Mike, noticing this, realised what he said and decided he needed to apologise. He hadn't meant for it to sound like an insult, it was simply something he had observed.

"Will I- I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that-"

Will couldn't care less what Mike knew or didn't know, he needed to get it off his chest and this was the perfect moment. Their friendship seemed like it was going to end anyways, so why not?

"Y'know what?" Said Will, cutting off Mike's apology.

Mike went silent, surprised that their quiet little Will cut him off. As far as he'd known, Will hated cutting people off, would rather let people talk over him than interrupt.

"Go ahead, ditch me, bully me like everybody else does, I don't care. But I need to get this off of my chest, so you're going to shut up and listen."

Mike obliged, closing his previously hung-open mouth and waiting for Will to continue.

"You're right, I don't like girls. In fact, I'll be straightforward, I'm gay. But you're wrong about one thing, it IS your fault I don't like girls."

Mike was shocked, not angry, but rather confused. He decided to stay silent once again, his curiosity of exactly WHY it was his fault choosing for him.

"Ever since that day on the swings. I've liked- no. LOVED you since then."

"Maybe if I just hadn't gone outside or if we didn't meet in the first place, I WOULD like girls. I was willing to push my feelings away so you could be with your girlfriend, so YOU could be happy. I thought we would at least hang out! But NO. You always want to go make out with your girlfriend instead of spending time with your friends."

"What happened to the old Mike? The one I knew wouldn't have ditched The Party for some girl. He would have stayed and made sure I felt included."

"It's not even just you! Lucas has Max and Dustin is at camp. You guys are always so busy with stuff that you can't make time to hang out anymore..."

Tears filled Will's eyes; he was close to crying. If he kept talking, tears would spill. But he didn't want to seem weak in front of Mike, so he stopped and covered his mouth with the palm of his hand.

Mike was speechless. He hadn't realised how much he was ditching his friends for El, and he couldn't even realise Will, his best friend, was hurting so much. He was so oblivious to Will's feelings towards him, but he knows what he did wrong now. So, he's going to fix it.

Mike takes Will's hand in his own, bringing it away from his face. He leans forward, stopping a few inches away from his face. He looks at Will's lips and then back to his eyes, silently asking for permission. Will hesitantly nods, confirmation to continue.

Mike leans in once again, closing his eyes as Will's soft lips press against his own. Mike's hands drift down, resting on Will's waist as Will puts his arms around Mike's neck. Mike deepens the kiss, tilting his head to the side just a little bit.

They break from the kiss after a minute or two, leaning their foreheads together. Neither of them move, they've gotten comfortable in each other's arms.

"I love you, Will."

"I love you too..."

Will smiles as a tear rolls down his cheek, guess those tears were meant to fall anyways.

Will gives Mike a surprise kiss, short and sweet. They pull apart and walk inside holding hands.

Mike plans to tell El tomorrow, as she can't meet with him today and he doesn't want to do it over the phone.

Mike and Will sat down on the couch, cuddling as they watched ghostbusters. Lucas left a while ago, when he saw Will and Mike in the garage arguing he knew somebody was going to confess, so he decided it was a good idea to leave now and let them be.

They spent the rest of the night cuddling and laughing at dumb movies.

An argument solved and feelings explored, what a wonderful few hours.
