There are only so many words for certain body parts and ways to put them together and the way they make a person feel.
Sex in real life is infinitely beyond words. Every time is different, for every person, even if the basics are the same again and again.
Which is why I really don't particularly like writing sex.
I do it, though, because a lot of readers want it, and it's often an important part of the story. The thing is, I feel this anxious need to apologize if seems inadequate or repetitive.
In this story I felt strongly that young Olivia wouldn't have been comfortable giving details. At 26, however, I thought she would be more open about her experiences.
So, just know that in my characters' worlds it was better than any of my/their words describe. 🤩
