Chapter 16

This is how I want Tris's apartment to look like. She's special! :)

TRIS POV

After the encounter with Lauren, Tobias and I just went around the compound talking about random stuff. Now we are back at the pit. Harrison walks up the stage and takes the microphone. Almost everyone in the crowd turns to face him.

"Alright, It's now time to assign our new initiates to apartments." says Harrison. Oh my god, I never thought about getting my own apartment.

"Initiates, please come up to the stage." He says. I let go of Tobias's hand and go up to the stage. He hands us little envelopes.

"You may open them in your own time. Thank you and congrats, enjoy the rest of the party." Harrison says and turns to leave but stops."Also, one more thing, I came up with a policy that from now on, every year, the first ranked initiate would be assigned to a special apartment, like, a more advanced and luxurious apartment. I felt that they deserve the best." He says looking at me.

He dismisses us and I open the envelope to find a welcome card with my apartment number and the keys. I also find the directions and I follow it to my place. It's one floor higher than Tobias's and where all my other friends apartments are. I use the keys to open the door and I gasp.

First thing's first, it's huge!!! Next, the furnitures are already there and behind the long couch, there's a huge window and I can see almost all of the city. I realise that my apartment is not underground like all my friends'. I really feel like the odd one out but I love my house. I want to invite my friends to my house but not now. I want to be alone in here for a while. So I lock the door and explore the house. There's a large kitchen and seeing this, I decide to invite my friends here for breakfast. I go further inside to find my bedroom and the bed reminds me that it's pretty late. It's 11 pm and I didn't even keep track of the time. I was having so much fun at the party. I decide to wake up early to get all grocery items for the surprise breakfast. So I set the alarm to 5 am and fall asleep.
