Bellatrix's birthday coincided with the end of the Summer Holidays, so it was no surprise that no sooner had last night's fiasco ended, the Boleyns began to make last minute preparations for the start of the school year. Presently, it was time for the group to make their way to the school itself. The Marchioness, delivered a haughty nod to the house-elf as he opened the door to the large Black Rolls-Royce, allowing her to slide in. It was not long before they had reached King's Cross Station, where a good many muggles stood gawping, for the Boleyns were well known as the ancestors of Anne Boleyn even in non-magical circles. Diana, despite popular misconception from her looks which were older than her age, was eleven and it was her first time at Hogwarts, and she attempted to quell the butterflies in her stomach, as she entered King's Cross Station. Her parents left her from there, believing she and Kathryn would attract less attention on their own and they were indeed right. Kathryn began to tease Diana pretending she couldn't find the right wall, whilst the girl stamped her foot impatiently.

'Kitty! Stop fooling around and tell me which one it is. We're going to be late!' She pointed to her watch (https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0229/3009/products/15876A_530x@2x.JPG?v=1561109819), and Kathryn saw it was indeed almost eleven o'clock. She hastened to show her the way. Kathryn left Diana to fend for herself almost immediately, obviously not wanting to be seen with the younger girl in front of her friends, and Diana resisted from rolling her eyes. Nonetheless, she felt too nervous to have time to be scornful- especially when the Hogwarts express, in it's crimson glory- billowing with smoke-, arrived at long last. Nervously, she made her way into the first compartment she could find where four boys with scarlet badges and red and orange pin-stripe trousers under their dark robes sat. Diana took them in one by one, as she settled down quietly, labelling them in her mind.

The one with the glasses and messy crop of hair was definitely the mischievous one; another with very fine features, a cocky smirk and silky dark locks was most certainly the handsome but insufferable type; the rather weedy looking boy with limp blonde hair and freckles was the 'blind follower' and then there was a dark haired boy with hazel eyes and, curiously enough, pale pink scars running across his face. Diana stopped in the middle of her reflections to note that he seemed like a good companion. The rather floppy paper-back with the tell-tale words a 'Tale of Two Cities' did nothing to lower her good opinion of him.

'That's a good book.'

The boy looked up at her and smiled. 'It is isn't it?'

Diana nodded. Her parents would have been shocked to find out that she spent every spare minute of her day reading muggle novels and scribbling her own stories, but then they didn't. Tale of Two Cities was a particular favourite of hers.

'It has absolutely everything a reader could desire.' She said dreamily, half to herself and half to the boy.

'Romance, revolution, religion, fate, family, social injustice...' Diana's voice trailed off as the 'Mischievous boy', as she had nicknamed him for the time being, snickered. The 'handsome but insufferable' was smirking wider than before. She turned bright red, wondering if she had been talking to much, but the boy with the book glared at them. He turned his attention back to Diana.

'I'm Remus, by the way.' Remus, what a lovely name, Diana thought to herself.

She proffered her hand for a hand-shake, to which the other two boys sniggered again, much to her confusion.

'Diana, Diana Boleyn.' The 'handsome but insufferable' stopped sniggering.

'Boleyn. So that's where I've seen you before.'

'I beg your pardon.' She said blinking. Normally, such a polite response would have triggered another snigger but the look on the other boys face was so thunderous that there was not a sound. 'Have we met? You do look like someone I know...' Her thought drifted to Regulus.

'I'm Sirius Black.' The boy said. He spat the words out.

'Oh.' The one syllable was intensely eloquent. 'A Black.' And then, unable to control herself, she said in a rather frightened sort of voice.

'You aren't like Miss Bellatrix are you?' She clamped a hand over her mouth, realising she had spoken out of turn. The han- Sirius Black snorted.

'Like that psychopath? No.' Diana unstiffened a little. There was a moment of silence in the compartment, which Diana used to take out her own book, 'Northanger Abbey,' from her bag. It was not long before she was lost to the world in her book. She was only brought back to it by the noisy flinging open of doors, as two students marched into the room. Diana looked up to see a boy with thick, slightly greasy dark hair and a serious countenance, followed by a pretty young girl with ravishing dark auburn waves, clear skin and bright green eyes. Her bright smile slipped at the sight of the boys behind Diana.

'Oh. It's you. Again.' Her distaste was evident in her words. Diana frowned, wondering what could possibly be so awful about the group to make such a bright, sunny girl so unhappy. They did  seem as though they needed to be taken down a peg or two, but they seemed friendly and quite nice- Remus in particular.

Potter smirked. 'Lilyflower! Fancy seeing you here. Go out with me, Evans?'

'Potter, I'm twelve!' The girl sounded rather exasperated, and Diana couldn't help but sympathise with her. She had an idea this happened to her more than was desirable. The greasy haired boy snorted in agreement, and the boys attention turned to him at once.

'Oh hello, Snivellus!' Black cooed. 'Forgot to wash your hair this morning did you?' There were snickers from the group.

'Here,' Potter sneered, 'I'll help you clean it.'

'Augmenti!' Unfortunately, the spell seemed rather too advanced for the second year and it missed, drenching Lily instead.

'Oh Lilypads, I'm so sorr-'

'Cut out the apologies Potter.' She huffed. 'First you go round bullying poor Severus, then drenching me... Whatever next?' Diana, feeling sorry for the fuming girl, waved her wand and murmured an incantation, drying Lily instantly. She flashed her a grateful smile, before casting one last glare at Potter before storming out, Severus following her.

'It's all his fault! If it wasn't for that greasy git....' Diana frowned as Potter began a tirade, before suddenly deciding she didn't want to sit in their  compartment any longer. She rose abruptly, took hold of her book and valise, and went off to find another seat.
