You learned this some time ago, maybe a month.
People with low self esteem will want to be accepted for others instead of accepting themselves for who they are and how they are, they seek for love and attention everywhere except in oneself, so when it comes to a relationship that we want to be healthy and beautiful... Things can get a little tricky. People can be jealous all the time, thinking they're not enough good to hold someone with them; other people get scared of receiving affection thinking they don't deserve it.

A funny thing is, usually people like this could be anyone you know, even the least who you can think about. People with severe insecurities might become an aggressive person, it's a mechanism to defend themselves from being seen as weak, as defenseless, as pitiful...

Man, what a troll. Everyone depicts her as a lawfully cruel bitch, but you have a certain skill to know people deeply effortlessly, analyzing their actions and the reason of them, their body language. And you've seen something in her that caught your attention, you feel her desperation to make things right and for the sake of her people, even if that means to save them from themselves. You understand why she behaves in that way, sometimes people has it hard to express their feelings or actions, so the others don't get why they are doing the things they do, but you do, and you agree with her, she has a huge heart behind that bitchy facade.

You've been dating for a while, it's been two years. It was a funny relationship, and by so far you just can't get bored, there is no specific routine between you and Vriska, and she always has something up to her sleeve. You love her and love the fact that she loves you as well, you are just sure that you never felt this way for anyone and you can believe either she ever felt this way for someone. She started changing her manners and has been learning how to show love and care for you and her friends, you're proud of her and you know she is proud of her efforts too.
