Your POV

I tapped my foot nervously as the Hogwarts Express left the station. Harry, Ron and Hermione were talking about something, but I was barely paying attention. Instead, I kept glancing at my watch.

"Del?" Harry asked.
"Yes?" I replied, zoning back into the conversation.
"I asked what you think the special event is. The thing Mrs Weasley was talking about?"
"Um, I don't know. Maybe a special kind of Quidditch Tournament."
"So you agree with Ron?"

I checked my watch – it was time.

"I-I guess? Anyway, I uh, I think I dropped something. I'm just going to go look for it."
"Oh drop the act Del," Ron said, rolling his eyes. "We all know you're going to see Malfoy."
"That's not-"

Hermione gave me a look.

"I'll see you later," I muttered, and slid the door open.
"Use protection!" Ron called after me as I walked down the hall. I resolved to hex him later.

I walked down the corridor of the train, fiddling with the charm on my purse. It was tradition for Malfoy and me to meet in the last compartment, and he always showed up. Still, it didn't stop me getting just a little nervous.

"Hey Del!" Someone called. I turned to see Cedric walking out of the compartment behind me.
"Oh, hey Cedric," I smiled. "How are you?"
"Not too bad. I um, I just wanted to ask if you were alright after everything that went down at the Cup?"
"Oh." I checked my watch. "Would you mind if we talked about this after Herbology tomorrow? I just uh- have somewhere-"
"Malfoy?"

I blinked in surprise.

"How did you-"
"I pay attention to things I like," He shrugged nonchalantly. Heat crept up my cheeks. "But yeah, talk tomorrow," He smiled, and walked back into the carriage.

What a flirt. I continued down the corridor until I reached the final compartment, disappointed to find it empty. Still, he might have been running late, so I sat down, took a piece of parchment and my pen, and began my letter to Sirius.

To Sirius,
I don't know how much wizarding news you get where you are, but there was a Death Eater attack on the World Cup. Harry and I are fine, before you start panicking, but there's something you should know. Ever since I got back from Hogwarts last summer, my Dark Mark has been moving. I didn't think much of it at the time, which is why I didn't tell you, but with Harry's scar hurting, and now this, I'm not so sure. Hopefully I hear from you soon,

"Well hello there," Someone grinned. I looked up to see Draco smiling at me.
"Hello to you too," I smiled.
"Sorry I'm late," He replied, taking the seat opposite me. "I got all your favourites." And sure enough, he laid out all my favourite treats from the trolley on the seat cushion next to him.
"I suppose you're forgiven then," I smiled.

I plucked a chocolate frog from the small pile.

"So," I began. "You uh, you seemed pretty worried about me back in the forest," I teased, a smug smile plastered on my face.
"Oh don't be like that," He sighed, pulling apart a pumpkin pasty.
"Be like what?" I asked, feigning innocence.
"I don't know, all happy and-" He looked up from the pasty and his eyes met mine. "Do you really want me to say it? Because I will?"

I didn't answer.

"I was worried about you, okay?" He sighed, a smile playing at his lips. "Is that a crime?"
"It's almost like I'm important to you or something," I grinned.
"Don't let it get to your head."
"Do you have any idea how much danger she's in?" I said, doing my best Draco impression. He shoved my shoulder playfully.
"Shut up."

Still grinning, I took a swig of pumpkin juice.

"In all seriousness though, how are you feeling about all that? You know, with the Death Eaters and everything."
"I don't know," I sighed, tucking my knees under my chin. "It makes me sick just thinking about it, but I'm sure if Voldemort was back, the Ministry would know." I paused, unsure of whether or not to ask my next question. "D-did you Father say anything about it?"

Draco tensed instantly. In that moment I knew; I should've kept my mouth shut.

"Why? Because you think he was involved?" He asked defensively.
"No not at all," I gushed. "I was just wondering if he said anything about it."
"Well, he didn't," Draco said firmly. "I tried to get him to talk about it, but when I did he just shut me down."
"Oh."

There was an awkward silence.

"Look, just forget I asked," I said, painting a smile on my face. "Tell me all about Paris."

Later on, as the train got closer to Hogwarts, Draco walked me back to the carriage. I turned to him before opening the door.

"Now behave," I warned him. He rolled his eyes.
"Fine."

I slid open the door to the compartment.

"Oh, look who's back," Ron said with mock cheer.
"Nice to see you too, Weasley," Draco retorted. "So Potter," He continued, leaning against the doorframe. "Thinking of entering this year?"

We all looked at him in confusion.

"Entering?" Harry asked. Draco's smile grew.
"You mean you don't know?" He asked, glee glinting in his eyes. "I guess it does pay to have a famous father. I found out ages ago."
"Oh shove off Malfoy," Harry said, rolling his eyes. Malfoy laughed and walked away, slamming the door behind him. Ron glared at me.
"I'll never understand why you're friends with him."
