"Good morning sleepyhead", I hear a soothing voice say. I open my eyes to find Dr. Blunt standing above me with a cup of coffee. I sit up and she hands me the coffee. I can't remember how long it's been since I've had a real cup of coffee. I look at her. I really like her. I really really like her. "I will get you out", she says while she's walking to her desk. I look at her...shocked. "I really like you Rose. I will get you out. You could live with me and you could go to university", I look at her, jump up and hug her. "So that's a yes", she asks. I nod. I drink my coffee and walk out to go and shower. I go to my room and grab my towel and some clean clothes. I walk to the bathroom with a smile on my face. I see that the bathrooms are empty so I walk to the showers and turn on the hot water. I stand there, naked, waiting for the water to get to the right temperature. I get in and oh my gosh it's amazing. I stand there for a few minutes and then wash my hair. "Rose! Where are you", I hear Kayla's voice. I tap the tiles with my nails to signal her. She walks over and she looks very angry. "Okay, today you will find out how to bring Mia back and how the hell we can get out of here. Got it", she asks in an irritated tone of voice. I nod and she walks away. I hear her giggle as she exists the bathroom. I finish my shower and get dressed to go tell Dr. Blunt about what happened. I run down the hallway and open her office door. "Rose, sweetie, what's wrong? It looks as if you'd seen a ghost", she says. I just run into her arms for her to comfort me. I start crying again. Why do I cry so much these days? "Okay, is this about Kayla", she asks and I nod. "What are they planning", she hands me a notebook and a pencil. "They want to know about Mia and how to get out of the asylum", I write down. "I think I might have a plan", she says as she reads the note. "Mia wasn't really a patient, she was a doctor who was involved in the operation of the first brain here at the asylum. It was on a rat of course. Patients stopped drinking their medicine so she volunteered to go undercover to make them trust the doctors. Kayla seemed to be growing find of Mia but she has to go back to ward D, she disappeared. Everyone has their own story as to what happened to Mia. Some say she got out, some say she was murdered and some even say she's in ward D, being experienced on by other doctors who don't know that she's one herself. No one really knows", she says. I look at her stunned. "Here's the plan: tell Kayla you made contact with Mia and that she would meet you all in the woods by the old shed tomorrow at midnight. You all run into the woods, but there will be police and guards waiting to arrest Kayla and her friends, you will be granted immunity", I look her in the eyes and nod. I'll do it. I walk out of her office and go to my art class. I need to relax. I draw and paint for hours. "Rose, it's dinner time", I hear the supervisor say. I look at her and go clean my hands. I walk down the the cafeteria and get the disgusting food that they've been serving us for the past month. I sit down and look at the food. "So, what did you find out", Kayla asks while sitting down. She slides a pencil and some paper over to me. I write:"I made contact with Mia. She said she loves you and misses you very much Kayla. She wants us to meet her in the woods by the old shed. There's a whole in the fence we can go through there." Kayla looks at it and puts the paper in her pocket. "When", she asks. I write:"00:00" with my peas. She nods and walks away. It's so late I should go to bed. I walk to my room without even closing the door I lay on my bed and fall asleep.
