The school was tall, and a dusty red color. The widows were covered with dirt, leaving no place to look through them. As Timothy and I got closer and closer the school seemed to be more and more ominous.

I stopped near the front doors while Timothy continued. "Are you going to go in?" I asked. "What? You think there will really be ghosts in there?" he chuckled. I gulped. I never was really afraid of the idea of the school until it was right in front of me. I took a small step towards it. Timothy looked back at me. "Come one!" He said.

The doors creaked as Timothy opened them. The interior of the school was exactly how you would imagine it. It was dirty, stuff was everywhere. I'll spare the reader the details because I think you understand the picture.

Timothy and I walked down the hallways slowly. Everything was quite. I observed the broken lockers. "What kind of school was this?" I asked. "I think it was a middle and high school," Timothy whispered.

All of a sudden there was a loud thud that echoed through the halls. Both Timothy and I ran into the nearest class room and shut the door behind us. "Do you believe in ghost now?" I almost yelled. I ran to the other side of the room as far away from the door as possible. Timothy leaned down, gasping for air. "No, we need to go see what that was!" he said bravely. I didn't say anything. I only watched him as he exited.

I ran to him before he did and grabbed his shoulder. "Don't be stupid," I told him. He smiled at me and proceeded to exit. I watched him as he walked down the hall. It was at that moment I realized that I liked him. My heart fluttered, I was breathless. I shook my head to snap myself out of it. After knowing him for about a month I already fell for him.

Timothy then leaned on a wall before he would go around a corner. He then walked out of my sight. There was silence. I then heard a scream, it was loud, it was fearful, it belonged to Timothy. I ran. I was afraid. My first thoughts were that he had seen a ghost. Then I thought about the ghost hurting him in someway. I turned the corner that he had turned at. I was nearly crying in fear now.

I was running down the second hall closing my eyes shut. What could have it been?! I then ran head on into someone. I fell over and landed on the ground harshly. My ears were buzzing, bells rang in my ears. As the noise faded out, I heard the sound of laughter. I turned around to see Timothy laughing hysterically on the floor. I crawled quickly to him and hugged him tightly.

"What happened?!" I questioned, still hugging him. Timothy was still laughing. I then realized what happened. Timothy screamed to scare me, playing a practical joke on me. I let go of him at this realization. "Do you think this was funny?!" I asked him. "Yeah, kind of," he answered. I was so mad, the previous feelings I had for him disappeared. Pushed him away angrily and proceeded to wipe the tears I had from my cheeks.

It was in that moment that Timothy realized how afraid I really was. "Are you okay?" he asked smiling a little. I said nothing. I finished wiping the tears from my face and then looked at him bitterly. "No!" I yelled. I got up quickly, so did he. Timothy then wrapped his arms around me and gave me a tight squeeze. "Sorry, I didn't exactly know you were that scared," he said.

My heart fluttered again. "Yeah, well don't do this again!" I said getting out of his grasp. I blushed a little. Nobody every really hugged me, especially not a crush. I shuck my head a little. "What made the noise?" I asked turning around. Timothy pointed to something behind me. It was merely a large wooden podium that had fallen over, probably used for school announcements. I sighed in relief.
