"You know I wont be able to go back to the office after this without getting the third degree." I said and Chris just gave me the biggest eat shit grin and I shook my head. "You think I'm kidding?!" I asked and he shook his head.

"You think my phone isn't blowing up in my pocket right now?" Chris said as he felt his phone constantly vibrating. I sighed.

"Chris...this is going to cause trouble with everyone." I said and he shook his head and took my hands on the table.

"I don't care Baby, this is for us, no one else." Chris said and I smiled at him. The waitress came over and we ordered our food. We were at a simple, hole in the wall diner just for something simple.

"So, how is Gray Man press going?" I asked and he sighed.

"I have a few interviews this week but I can do them from my living room or kitchen table and I don't have to leave Boston." Chris said and I smiled.

"Well that sounds awesome." I said and Chris smiled.

"Yeah it's comfortable when I can stay home. Traveling is nice and seeing a lot of places but I would rather just stay here." Chris said and I smiled with a nod.

"I never realized how much I missed Boston until I came back." I said and Chris smiled.

"You know you just missed my face." Chris said and I shook my head and smiled at him.

"That what I want you to believe, really I missed Scott the most." I said and Chris looked like I hurt him and gave me puppy dog eyes. I reached against the table and placed a hand on his cheek.

"You know I don't mean it. You were always my favorite Evans." I said and Chris smiled. He grabbed my hand and kissed the palm of my hand and I had to try and stop the butterflies from taking flight in my stomach.

"So how it is working with Tara?" Chris asked and I sighed as he kept ahold from my hand.

"Icy. Since everything happened at their house that night we haven't talked. You are the first person I talked to from that dinner." I said and Chris sighed.

"Baby, I don't want you to cut them all out of your life. Tara didn't mean any harm..." Chris said and I removed my hand from his. "What?!" Chris asked shocked.

"Please don't take her side on this Chris." I said and Chris groaned.

"I wasn't taking her side Brooke." Chris said and I leaned back in my chair and crossed my arms.

"Certainly seemed like it. "Tara didn't mean any harm" is exactly what you said." I said mocking him and he groaned.

"Hey..." Chris said and reached his hand across the table to me and I sighed and took his hand. "I didn't mean it, I'm not taking her side. I'm on yours side 100% Baby Bidwell." Chris said and I sighed. I had to forgive him. Those damn blue eyes.

"Fine, you're on my side. What exactly does that entail?" I asked and he laughed.

"We can figure all that out later." Chris said and winked at me. I felt the blush ride up my neck to my cheeks. "Nice to know I can still make you blush like I did at the wedding." Chris said and I smacked his hand.

"Can we not talk about that?" I asked and we laughed.

"Come on Baby, you know you loved it when I did it." Chris said and I laughed.
