A few days after Henry had officially moved back to Jersey Tara came busting in my office.

"What the hell is going on?!" She asked panicked and I looked at her like she was a crazy person.

"Um...excuse me?" I asked.

"Henry moved back to Jersey. Are you leaving with him? When were you telling me?!" Tara asked and I sighed and rolled my eyes.

"No Tara, I'm not going with him." I said as she sat down in a chair on the other side of my desk.

"So what? You two going to make it work long distance and travel on weekends?" Tara asked and I sighed shaking my head.

"Henry and I broke up a few days ago." I said and she scoffed looking at me in shock.

"What?!" She asked and I groaned.

"Tara, it's no big deal. Things were good but not great and not what we were looking for in a relationship. We are staying friends." I said and Tara gave a small smile.

"Well it's good that you both can stay friends. I just wish it could have worked out for you both." Tara said and I groaned.

"I know but I'm really okay, just taking me time right now." I said and she sighed but nodded. She stood up and went to leave my office and turned to say something and I knew where she was going. "Tara...stop! I'm not having this with you. I'm not...I can't. Chris and I don't even talk anymore. You can have him, which I don't get I mean you are married to my brother, you have a daughter with my brother...shouldn't you maybe work on your marriage more than a friendship?" I asked and she didn't say anything and just walked out. It felt good to let that out. That was only half of what I wanted to say to her but I got my point somewhat across. It was lunch time and I heard someone come in the office and then walked straight to me.

"Hey! What are you doing here?" I asked see Kayla.

"Well I haven't seen you in a while and I thought we could do lunch." Kayla said and I nodded as I headed out of the office.

"You have a showing at 1:30!" Tara called after me as I left. I chose to ignore her and headed out with Kayla. We drove to lunch at a pizzeria and quickly ordered.

"So I got your text about you and Henry..." Kayla said and I nodded.

"Yeah he moved back to Jersey, just didn't seem smart to stay together." I said and she nodded with a smile.

"So you have been apart a week or so right?" Kayla asked.

"Yeah...why?" I asked.

"Chris..." Kayla.

"Chris what?" I asked confused.

"You are going to call him right? I mean we all know he is who you are meant to be with." Kayla said and I sighed.

"Yeah, I'm not calling him. It's okay. I think I need me time." I said and Kayla looked at me, reached across the table and punched me hard in my arm.

"OWW!" I yelled causing people to look.

"You need to call that man." Kayla said as I sighed.

"I need to take a break Kayla, seriously jumping from man to man is not good." I said, she sighed as out food was delivered.

"Stupid mistake to wait." Kayla said and I chose to ignore her.

*****TARA & CHRIS POV*****

Tara was sitting in her office at Brooke at just left for lunch with Kayla. Tara knew she had to get to lunch as well since she also had some showings in the afternoon. As Tara was about to get up and leave the door opened and she saw Chris come walk into her office.

"Hey!" Tara said excited.

"Hey, I brought some burgers, I was wondering if you wanted to have some lunch? I feel like I haven't seen you much." Chris said and Tara sighed.

"Right because you don't want to run into Brooke." Tara said and Chris groaned.

"Tara, stop! I'm done with you always on her and I. This has go to stop. If I have any feeling for Brooke, at all, I will act on them. I wouldn't be stupid and wait..." Chris trailed off knowing damn good and well he waited too long. "And even if I did have feeling she is with Henry now so it doesn't matter." Chris said and Tara sighed.

"What is with everyone getting on me about you and Brooke. God!" Tara said.

"Don't play victim Tara, you never could. Don't act innocent. The entire time since Brooke has been here you have been against anything involving her and I being together. We could have had something special, something amazing but you freaked out and kept us apart. You tried setting us up with different people in front of each other! That's not okay. You need to just let things happen they way they are going to happen." Chris said and Tara hung her head and sighed.

"I just didn't want our friendship to be ruined if you and Brooke didn't work out." Tara said.

"Tara, whether I was in a relationship with Brooke and it did or didn't work, we will always be friends. Nothing will ever change that." Chris said, smiled as Tara gave a small smile back.

"Okay, I'm sorry." Tara said.

"Just butt out now please." Chris said.

"In all sense of honesty though Brooke and Henry aren't together anymore." Tara said and Chris looked at her oddly.

"Since when?" Chris asked.

"About a week ago. He went back to Jersey, couldn't hack it in Boston." Tara said and Chris huffed a laugh.

"Is she okay?" Chris asked and Tara nodded.

"Seems to be just fine." Tara said. Chris sat wondering why Brooke hadn't call him instantly.

*****CHRIS POV*****

I went to the store after leaving Tara's office and just thought the entire time of Brooke wondering what to do. I mean she didn't come to me. I knew she was with Henry until recently was she really over me and had moved on. As I was waiting to get something from the deli counter someone walked up beside me and I looked to see Brooke's best friend Kayla.

"Hey, I was praying I would run into you." Kayla said and Jake groaned since he was pushing the cart.

"Sorry man." Jake said and I looked confused.

"For what?" I asked and Kayla punched me in the arm. I grabbed my arm in pain. "What the hell Kayla?!" I asked rubbing my arm.

"Brooke is single again and you haven't made a move yet?!" Kayla asked.

"In my defense, I didn't find out until today." I said.

"Well now that you know, what do you plan on doing?" Kayla asked.

"I don't know Kayla. If she wanted me she could have contacted me. I mean she ended us." I said and Kayla punched me again.

"She gave you a choice Chris! You left, you made that choice! That wasn't the choice she wanted you to make! She needs you she just don't know if you want her!" Kayla said and I sighed.

"I'll figure it out." I said and walked away from Kayla.

"Make the effort Chris!" Kayla yelled as I walked away and out of the store after paying for my groceries.

-Make the effort....- Kayla's words will now ring in my head.
