The next morning. Josie woke, Hope was awake and looking at her.

"Morning beautiful"
"Morning baby. When did you wake up?"
"About an hour ago. I wanted to get something ready"
"What?"

Hope got up. She was holding a disk with breakfast and put it next to Josie. Then she kissed Josie on the head, and looked at her
"Happy anniversary to us"
"Happy anniversary, Hope"

Hope sat next to Josie who started eating the breakfast.

"Any plans for today, Hope?"
"Well i got something for the night, a drive in. If you want"
"Definitely."
"As for the day, feel free to decide"
"Also, I kinda bought you something."

Josie said, she got up and wore her t-shirt. Then she went to her backpack and took a box out. She walked closer and sat next to Hope as she gave her the box

"Aww, Jo. I didn't buy you anything. It's not fair"
"Just open it"

Hope said opened the box. There was a small silver necklace with the lotus symbol on it. Hope place it on her hand and looked at it then she looked at Josie suprised.

"Josie- i. You are so sweet"
"The lotus. It symbolizes lot's of things. It's  a reminder that things arent as bad as they seem. It rises above the water. Stans on its own. It can represent, Independence and Strength but also rebirth. And lastly, it's also a symbol of healing, see their ability to heal passes  through centuries."
"Josie, this is so beautiful. I love it."

Hope said as she moved hugged Josie. Josie fell on the bed. The disk imedietly jumped and all the things were thrown on the bed. Hope and Josie looked there and then looked at eachother as they laughed, they kissed. When they finished, they got up and walked to the school. They were walking in the halls.

"Josie, your present is, perfect. I am so sorry i didn't get you anything"
"Hope, i don't blame you especially with all the things that happened lately."

Hope smiled and kissed Josie. Then Caroline saw them, she walked closer and stood in front of them. They backed off, they were supposed to be in class.
"You are supposed to be at class"
"We thought of taking a break for today"
"Mhmm and may i ask why?"
"Well we-"
"Mum, it's kind of our anniversary"

Caroline imedietly smiled
"Congratulations girls. But, you are going to your class. But you can leave the school on last hour. I will inform the history teacher."
"Mum"
"Thanks, Caroline"

Hope said as she took Josie's hand they went to class. The classes finished eventually. They were walking outside
"So, Jo. What do you wanna do?"
"Well, i was thinking of- well it may sound weird, but how about a picnic?"
"A picnic? Mmm, i like the idea"

Josie smiled. They packed some things they went to the woods and prepared the picnic. They sat down and started talking.

"Hope, have you noticed that in a couple weeks we are actually leaving the school?"
"Yeah. It's weird. But in the same time, it feels good."
"In what way?"
"Well, no classes and teachers. We are actually gonna be living in our own house. Visit eachother whenever we want to"
"So, did you find a house for you?"
"I-i well something like that. Also, there's college."
"And back to class again. Hope, how are we doing this?"

Josie said as she looked down. Her mood changed really fast.
"Doing what?"
"Talking about our future like it is gonna be normal. I mean we are freaking supernaturals our life is meant to be messy and complicated."
"No. It's in our hands Josie"
"No it's not"

Hope looked at her, she moved closer. Josie looked at her.
"Josie. We choose what's next for us. We are gonna have fun, live normal or maybe messy it doesn't matter we will be together. Because this is our time. It's never been right, but now it is and we should take advantage of it."

Josie smiled imedietly, she felt better. Hope touched her face and softly kissed Josie. They stayed there for a couple hours. Then the night came. They went to the drive in with Hope's car. They sat in there waiting for the movie to start

"Are you having fun so far Jo?"
"Definitely Hope. Are you?"
"Yes. Because i am with you and when im with you everything is perfect."

Josie sobbed a bit. They kissed. The movie finished. They were supposed to drive to the school but then, Hope stopped the car.

"What are you doing?"
"The night is not over yet."
"And?"
"And i got some things for you."

They got down from the car. Hope rushed to Josie and took her hand. They walked outside a big building.

"What is this?"
"Just trust me, but first. I gotta give you my present"
"But, you said that you didn't buy anything."
"I lied, i wanted it to be a surprise."

Hope said as she took something out of her pocket. It was a box. Josie opened it. It was a key.

"I- i don't get it"
"No? Okay, come with me"

Hope said, she got out of the car. The went to the other side and opened Josie's door, then took her hand, they walked into an apartment, it was empty.

"Where, are we?"
"We are at, our house. Remember when, we went on that date at the grill amd i told you i'd be at the bunker?"
"Yes"
"I came here and bought this. You know, since we are leaving school in like 2 weeks."
"I, i cant believe it"
"You will get used to it. See noe, we are gonna be sleeping together and waking up together. Till we take our last breath on this earth."
"Yeah that doesn't sound right. I am heretic and you are the tribrid. Basically, immortal. So"
"Ugh, just come here"

Hope said as she moved closer and kissed Josie.
