Hope walked downstairs. Everyone were gathered at the hall. Caroline was there.

"Hope, will you do the honors?"

Caroline said as she turned around and looked at Hope while smiling at her.
Hope nodded. She smiled as she felt happy and peaceful. She turned around and walked to the door. She slowly opened it and walked outside. She stood in front of two new students.

"Welcome home."

Hope said as she smiled. She showed the students the entrance. They got in. Caroline was standing and waiting for them. They stood in front of her.

"Welcome to the Salvatore school. I am Caroline,  your headmistress, this is Hope, she will show you the rest of the school. Hope you enjoy your journey here."

Caroline said. The students smiled.
"This way."

Hope said as she pointed the hall. The students walked in front of her. As she was walking with them, Hope turned around and looked at Caroline. She nodded at her and Caroline smiled.
Hope felt such comfort looking at Caroline's smile, it was as she was looking at Josie's smile once again. She turned around and continued walking with the students.

She showed them the rest of the school and their dormitory.

After that she went to find Lizzie. She got into her room, Mg was there they were going to kiss. Lizzie noticed that someone got in but she didn't see Hope.

"Why won't people stop getting in when we are trying to kiss?"
"Sorry."

Hope said. Lizzie imedietly turned around as she got up.

"Oh, Hope. Is everything okay?"
"Yeah, i just wanted to ask you something."

Hope said as she walked in and closed the door behind her.

"It's okay, i am leaving."

Mg said as he got up. He went outside. Hope and Lizzie sat on the bed. Hope was unusually quiet. She was staring at Josie's empty bed.

"Hope. Everything alright?"

Hope was zoned out, she was thinking about Josie, but after some seconds she focused. She looked at Lizzie.
"Yeah."
"And you wanted to ask me..."
"Umm, just wanted to see if we have news from Josie."
"Yeah, i do."
"What is it? Is it good or bad? Is she okay?"

Hope said fast and rushly as she got up
"Oh take it easy. I am just going to visit her. You know, a surprise for her."
"Oh, you will go to Belgium."

Hope said after she calmed down and sat on the bed again.
"Yeah."
"So you don't know if she is coming back to the school. "

Hope said as she whipped her hair and looked down trying to hide her real feelings.
"No clue."
"Oh."

Hope said. She was looking down while playing with her fingers and trying hold her tears. She looked sad. She kept having this feeling that something was awfully wrong. It was as if a part of her was missing. It was obvious. Lizzie looked at her. She noticed that something was wrong.
"You miss her don't you?"

Hope looked at Lizzie. How was she supposed to answer to this question?

"I- i do. It doesn't feel like before. I just want it to be like it was. Us being able to lay on the bed with you. Eat ice cream. I even miss your dumb star wars story."
"I was ten! But yeah. It's not like it was. I miss her too Hope. It's hard without her."
"I didn't even get to apologize."

Hope said as her voice cracked. She felt a big wave of sadness getting through to her. She couldn't hold her tears. She tried to hide it but she couldn't. She looked down as she whipped her tears.

"Oh, Hope. Look, i don't know when, but i am pretty sure Josie will come back sooner or later."

Hope looked at Lizzie. She nooded and smiled she calmen down.
"Speaking of apologies. I am so sorry for what i did to you. I owe you the biggest apology in the world and i am not asking for your forgiveness, Lizzie. Because i honesty cant forgive my self for it."
"Hope, i don't care if you are asking for my forgiveness or not. I forgave your already. You did some bad things, but don't we all some times? We can't change our past so we focus on the future."

Lizzie put her hand in front of Hope as she showed her her her tiny finger.

"Till the bitter end?"

Lizzie asked, Hope smiled. She looked at Lizzie's finger, then at her and nodded. She put up her tiny finger arounf Lizzie'sfinger. Then she walked outside. She went to her classes. She sat on the desk and kept staring at Josie's sit. It was technically Hope's first "normal day" without Josie. After the day finished, she started walking to her dormitory,  she passed the stares, she looked at them, she remembered one of her conversations with Josie. She was ready to walk to her room, when Mg stopped her.

"Hope!"

She imedietly turned around.
"Yes?"
"Mr Saltzman sent you this."

Mg said as he gave her a tiny box. She opened it. It was the talisman. She couldn't help herself, she imedietly got flashbacks.
"Umm, thanks. I-i gotta go."

Hope said rushly. She walked fast to her dormitory. Then she walked to her pictures and kept looking at on of the pictures she had with Josie. Then she laid on her bed while holding the talisman.

Hope's pov:

I don't know what's wrong with me. I don't even know what was that talk with Lizzie about Josie. I mean i obviously miss her, i knew i would but i didn't know it would be the hard. I don't know how to explain it but, something changed.
