3rd Person /Lando's POV

After tossing and turning for a few minutes, Lando woke up and looked at the alarm clock, it read 5:09 am. He couldn't remember falling asleep at first, but then he heard steady breathing next to him, momentarily freaking him out. He slowly turned over, trying to see who the other person is without waking them. It was Carlos. This made him remember the events of the night before, of him being upset and crying in front of the Spaniard, causing him to now feel embarrassed. The Brit didn't know what to do, as he didn't want to make it awkward when Carlos woke up. After considering his options, Lando decided that it would be best to leave before the elder got up. He reached over for the alarm clock and sent an alarm for 6:15 am, ensuring that the Ferrari driver would wake up and not miss the race.

After a few more minutes of listening to the elder mans breathing and studying his uncovered torso, Lando decided that it was some what creepy to be staring at him whilst he slept, so he got up. He quietly grabbed his McLaren hoodie, polo, black jeans and trainers, before heading to the bathroom to freshen up and get dressed. Once he was ready, he silently left the bathroom and grabbed his bag, phone and a few other essentials. Minutes later, he took one final look at Carlos. He looked so beautiful and peaceful Lando thought. How could he just leave him without warning? The Brit grabbed a sticky note and pen off of the desk, and wrote 'Thank you', before sticking it to the back of Carlos' phone case.

Once he had finally left his hotel room, he checked his watch. It was 6:00am. This meant that the alarm would wake Carlos up in 15 minutes, and Lando didn't want to run in to him.
The Brit walked to the elevator, whilst thinking about where he should go. Breakfast didn't start until 7:00 am. He eventually went on to his phone, to look at places that were open, where he could get something to eat this early in the morning. He finally found a café 20 minutes away, near the race circuit, which opened at 6:30 am. The Brit decided that this was the best option as it would probably be open by the time he got there, so he called a taxi.

His taxi came and he arrived at the café by the time that it opened. It had nice decor, with a simple, neat design. He went inside, ordered a full english breakfast, and waited for it to arrive.

3rd Person /Carlos' POV

The bleeping sound of an alarm awoke Carlos, on a Sunday morning in July. He opened his eyes, squinting whilst adjusting to the light. He looked around, unsure of where he was as this wasn't his hotel room. He leaned to turn off the alarm, as he noticed that it looked as though someone had slept on the other side of the bed. This is when he recollected what happened the previous night.

After thinking about how upset Lando was, the Spaniard began to semi-worry that the Brit wasn't there right now. He reached for his phone to send a text to Lando, seeing the sticky note stuck to the back of it. It read out the message 'Thank you'. Carlos smiled at this, although it slightly worried him even more. The McLaren driver didn't need to thank him. But even if he felt he did, why couldn't Lando just wait till he wakes up to thank him in person? Maybe he just didn't want to speak to him yet. Either way the Spaniard was still anxious.

He unlocked his phone and opened messages. He sent a message to his friend saying 'Buenas Dias, are you okay Lando?' before quickly scrolling through his other apps for a couple of minutes. He eventually got out of bed and went to get ready in the bathroom, still waiting for the McLaren driver to respond.

At about 7:05 am, Carlos was done in the bathroom and had got his bag packed for the day. He finally went over to get his phone, and there he had a message back from Lando. He opened the message that the Brit sent, reading 'I'm okay'. It was such a simple response but it settled the Spaniard's nerves a bit. He decided not to text the younger man back again as it did seem as though he didn't want to speak to him at the present time.

Carlos exited the hotel room before getting the elevator to the lobby. He decided it would be best to just drive to his hotel and meet his team at breakfast so it wouldn't look like his was gone. That would just make everything seem suspicious otherwise.

After driving for about 15 minutes, the Ferrari driver arrived at his hotel. It was around half past seven in the morning, so he entered and walked straight to the restaurant for breakfast. He got two fried eggs, avocado toast and freshly squeezed orange juice, hoping to fill his stomach for the morning. He then wondered off to sit with his team and enjoy his food.

3rd Person /Lando's POV

It's late morning in Belgium and Lando is chilling in the McLaren garage. He had walked to the circuit at eight, said hey to a few drivers and did a couple of interviews before making his way to speak to his team. He was still upset about his starting position but his team made him feel better about it. After looking at the strategy, he decided to go and talk to his Aussie teammate as he was extremely bored with just over 3 hours to go until the race.

The pair were just chatting about how they thought the race would go, why Lando wasn't at breakfast (he of course didn't tell Daniel the real reason) and about other random stuff that came to mind. After a while, the few had to do some interviews for the press and then they filmed a quick McLaren video before heading to the drivers parade.

Heading over to their car to start the parade, Lando tried to keep his head down, not wanting to be spoke to by lots of people. But it was almost impossible because of all of the Belgian fans which were supporting him probably because he is half dutch. The Brit looked up for a moment waving to some of the fans, before embarrassingly walking into someone as he wasn't watching where he was going.
"Watch out Lando mate." Charles said whilst jokingly slapping him on the shoulder.
"It's not my fault the people love me." Lando said back, enjoying the banter before attempting to carry on making his way to his car once Charles had walked away. This is when the McLaren driver looked and saw that Carlos was next to Charles the whole time. Lando just awkwardly smiles, before hurriedly walking to meet Danny in their McLaren.

It was 1:40, the parade finished not too long ago, and Lando was just changing into his race gear. Yes, he was nervous as he got into his orange McLaren. He felt feelings bubble in his stomach which were a lot stronger than they usually are. Although he didn't have much time to think about them though, and before he knew it, he was warming up his tires on the formation lap.

A/N~ Sorry for the shorter chapter and the fact this is kind of a filler. I didn't want to not update as I said I would but I am exhausted right now. I'll write the next chapter at 50 views on this, when hopefully I'm less tired and more motivated. Thank you for reading though <333
