3rd Person /Lando's POV

It was halfway through the race and Lando wasn't doing well. He had a bad start making him fall to p19. He eventually made his way up to p12 after Esteban, Alex and Carlos had retired due to issues on their cars. He was eventually two seconds behind Mick but could not build his pace up. He felt angry. The Brit thought he was better than this. Even Daniel was p9 and that says a lot because the Aussie is always underperforming lately. It began to pour with rain, and Lando knows how rain effects this circuit. He experienced a crash here a couple of years ago, in qualifying. He was terrified for his life during that.

As his team hadn't told him to box yet, he drove past the pit entry, this just made him more angry. The track rapidly filled with water making him feel anxious. He began to build on Mick, wanting to get to the pits as quickly as he possibly could. He speeded up the hill heading to towards Eau Rouge only metres behind Schumacher as his team said on the radio, "Boxin this lap." He was about to respond as he reached the top but he had a sharp pain course through his body as his left front scraped the german's right rear tire. Suddenly, the papaya-coloured McLaren flipped, hastily skidding across the floor, causing sparks to fly everywhere. The only response to the McLaren teams request was a horrifying scream before the Brit crashed into the barriers.

3rd Person /Carlos' POV

Carlos stood watching the race on one of the screens in the Ferrari garage. He had retired earlier from another engine failure, making him extremely angry. Once he had forced himself to contain his emotions he began to watch the race. He was intently watching as the rain pounded the track and his friend Lando began closing in on Mick. The conditions went from dry too wet fastly meaning that most people were still on slicks. He watched as Lando pushed the bright McLaren to it's limits, sawing through the rain. As the Brit reached the Haas ready to overtake it, there was a pause as the McLaren made it's way right, making the right rear and front left tires of the cars collide. Carlos watched in horror as the papaya car flew into the air before flipping upside down.
"THERE GOES LANDO NORRIS AT EAU ROUGE! HE SKIDS INTO THE BARRIER AT OVER TWO HUNDRED MILES PER HOUR! RED FLAG!" the commentator shouted.
"Fuck," was all which Carlos managed to say. This all happened in an instant. The Spaniard felt sick. He couldn't take his eyes off of the screen. Lando's car was upside down and wedged into the middle of the barriers. Marshals surrounded the scene, as the medical car approached. There was no way this was good.

Tears began rolling down the Spaniard's face, as his team stood and watched him. The incident was no longer showing on the screen as it was potentially fatal. Carlos turned around, looking at his team. Realising just how upset he actually was, some of them ran over to comfort him. He was scared. He felt as though it was his fault, because he didn't speak to Lando face to face that morning, even though he wanted to.

Charles' car arrived back in the garage. Most of the team were attending to the Scarlett car as the Monegasque got out of it. He took his helmet and gloves off before noticing Carlos crying by some of his managers. He hurriedly ran over engulfing the Spaniard in a hug. Carlos wrapped his arms around his team mates waist before attempting to stifle his sobs in his shoulder.
"He'll be alright mate. I swear down he'll be alright. Shhh.." Charles whispered into his ear. They stood like this for a while before Carlos pulled away. He wiped his eyes before turning around to the Ferrari team.
"Any n-news?" he said, his voice breaking half not wanting to know the answer.
"They have managed to flip the car and lift Norris out onto a stretcher, taking him to the on-site hospital. He is currently unconscious and that is all the information we currently have," replied one of the Ferrari team members. Carlos shook his head whilst closing his eyes, attempting to prevent himself from crying again. He went over to the back of the garage and sat in one of the chairs. He himself felt quite lightheaded.

The man he cared for most out of anything, could still potentially not be okay, and this thought made him want to throw up. He felt so safe and content with this man but now he might never be able to speak to him again. The fact that he didn't even speak to Lando before the race either... He decided that he needed to stop thinking negative. Carlos knew him thinking the worst was making him even more anxious. He knew that the Brit wouldn't want Carlos to worry over him but if only Lando knew why Carlos worried over him so much. In all fairness though, he thinks everyone was concerned in this terrifying situation.

After fretting for about half an hour, one of the engineers came and announced that Lando was now conscious again and seemed like he would be okay. This made the Spaniard feel slightly better although no one still didn't know whether the McLaren driver would be okay. Due to the fact the commentators and the FIA now knew the news that Lando Norris was indeed awake and okay, they had permission to show the replay on the screen.

Glancing at the screen, Carlos watched the replay of the dreadful incident as a radio message was being played. The McLaren engineer told him to box this lap and before the British driver had the chance to reply, his car flipped causing him to let out the most horrific and blood chilling scream, Carlos had ever heard in his life.

Watching the life-threatening crash again, made the Ferrari driver tear up. It allowed him to think about how they risked their lives every year to entertain people but to also compete in a sport they love and are passionate for. When thinking about it, it seemed crazy. A stupid idea.

He was brought out of his trance by Charles sitting next to him. The driver proceeded to wrap his arm around Carlos' broad shoulders. The Monegasque didn't say anything for a while, sensing the fragile tension, so he rubbed the Spaniard's shoulder soothingly.
"I told you he would be okay Carlos. I know how much you care about him, I can see it in your face anytime he is around or brought up in a conversation." Charles said to his surprise after a few minutes. "He will be speaking to you again later, I swear down. He is okay. Now please don't be upset anymore, none of this was your fault," his team mate told him to Carlos' surprise.
"God. I hope he will be speaking to be." he says, not wanting his watery, bloodshot eyes to meet Charles' worried ones.

They sat there for a bit longer as the race didn't start again for another 20 minutes. After a while of sitting there, Binotto approached them.
"You will be able to visit Norris later boys, but from what I know he seems to be doing well. Charles please go and make your way into your car. The race begins again in five minutes," their boss said before leaving them alone again. Charles sighed before carefully letting go of Carlos and standing up.
"I'll see you later then," Charles said to his miserable looking team mate.
"Yeah. Good luck," he replied.

A/N~ Okay so I know that I haven't updated this for a while like I said I would, but I have been busy with a lot of stuff, as well as not feeling like my self. I haven't really been very motivated lately either, so I apologise if this isn't my greatest or longest piece of writing. I think I am going to try to update this once a week from now on, if not more frequent. As per usual, thank you for reading and I hope you have a good day/night. :) <333
