[Mike's POV]

I bring Will to my house, and we can contact Will's mother since we are aware of how anxious she may get when dealing with her son.

I recall the kiss and how it gave me butterflies and how I wished I had done it sooner.

We then enter the house, where my mother greets us and appears to be preparing lunch.

"Hello, Will. Welcome just in time. Would you guys want some dinner?"

I said, "Yes please!" And will nodded

Mrs. Wheeler added with a smile, "Someone's happy."

After that, Mrs. Wheeler places the meal in front of us as we move to the table.

"Have fun, kids"

The two boys then finished their supper and left.

(Time jump)

We both sit on the couch in the basement as I bring Will there and discuss how we may play the upcoming D&D game until Will interrupts us.

"Are we going to discuss the kiss?" Turning his head to the side, Will said.

"Oh.. Right, sure, what about it" I murmured as I moved to find a comfortable position.

"What did you feel about the kiss?"

Mike didn't have to consider it.

"To be honest, I had never experienced such a pleasant feeling with El before."

Really? Will was surprised I believed he adored El.

"Did you enjoy El?"

I shrugged and said, "I thought I did too, she's gorgeous and all, but I guess I mixed platonic and romantic."

"How do you feel about me?"

"Well, I'm not sure. I feel quite differently when I look at you than El ever could."

"Do you like me? More than a friend"

"That feels like it, I mean."

"Feels that way?"

In all honesty, I said, "With El it feels more like simply friends. Yeah, sometimes I want to hold your hand when we walk, or just kiss you in certain moments, play with your hair and watch you get all thrilled."

"What..does that make us" Will croaked out

"I don't know, what do you want to be?" Mike said hesitantly

"I want to be boyfriends..boyfriends please"

"Alright then, were boyfriends"

Will let out a sniffle

"Will? Hello, how are you?" I replied as I approached Will to console him.

Will is fighting back tears.

"I've loved you for so long,seeing you with El crushed my heart even more," he sobs inconsolably at this point.

Was he truly in love with me for so long? I sat there in shock. Perhaps longer? I really screwed up back then, fuck

I tighten my embrace to let him know I'm here for him.

I comforted him by cooing and cuddling him.

He then turns to face me with rather watery, teary eyes.

Will giggled as I kissed his cheeks, forehead, and ear.

"I'm sort of happy el broke up with you,"

"Byers, you know what byers?" I responded with a beaming smile, "I am, too."

Will eagerly reclines on the couch once I instruct him to do so. I then go upstairs to the kitchen to prepare some hot chocolate before selecting a few movies.

I then turn around and beam with joy.

I hand him a cup of hot chocolate, and we both laugh.

The atmosphere will get warm while you watch "So, which movie do you like to see?"

He motions to the movie Back to the Future and says, "How about this one?"

"Oh, that's good."

He played the VHS after inserting it into the player.

returned to the television after cuddling with Will and kissing him on the lips.

It was a terrific day today.
