A week one rolled by and he didn't hear anything from Jungkook. Each memory replayed in flashbacks making his thoughts run loose. He would convince himself that he had far more pressing issues than a snob like Jeon Jungkook to worry about, but he was living in a delusion.

Eunwoo didn't lie when he said a day would pass easily but a week without Jungkook was out of the question. Eventually, everything would build up to a moment where he would want nothing but his mate to be around him, to huddle him into his warm bulky arms, to shower in his love.

Jimin too wasn't much pleased with Taehyung so blatantly leaving Jungkook behind and not even looking twice to say goodbye. He was a baby but he had a heart bigger than that of his appa. He refused to talk to Taehyung, all day he would either spend with his toys or watch some cartoon to kill time. Taehyung wondered why Jimin was reacting so distant only if he knew it was because he sorely missed Jungkook.

He knew Jimin was strangely warming up to Jungkook but if he was in his shoes, he would've known that Jimin liked him because of the odd comfort and fatherly warmth Jungkook brought him. The trueblood filled the void his late father left behind but his young mind couldn't comprehend it and rather enjoyed the newfound feeling. All he wanted was the trueblood to be around them, to play with him, and to live with them.

Was it too much to ask for?

Jimin growing distant was concerning for Taehyung and just for a moment he considered asking Jungkook to come by and spend some time with the baby but then he wondered why would the older comply. Didn't he tell him loud and clear that he had nothing to do with him anymore? Wouldn't that sound hypocritical of him?

But it was Jimin he was talking about and he would go to lengths for him if it meant bringing a small smile to his face.

So, he did what he felt was right, he called Yoongi hyung to ask him for Jungkook's number. The older omega couldn't believe his ears cause he for a fact knew that Taehyung and Jungkook barely knew each other. Why would Taehyung be suddenly interested in the son of the head alpha? He knew their last encounter for some odd reasons wasn't that pleasant either. But he did not venture much into the issue and gave what the younger demanded.

Taehyung contemplated for a while whether he should give the trueblood a call or not, his hands trembled when he pressed on the contact number and held the phone against his ears. The phone rang for a while, his anxiety growing and his stomach churning in weird emotions. He wanted it but didn't want it at that same time.

"Hello? Who's this speaking?" Jungkook's characteristic voice pitched in with a question.

"Jungkook." The omega whispered against the phone, his mind going hazy. He was lost, clearly. Words evaporated at the tip of his tongue and he found himself unable to speak.

He wouldn't lie but he kind of missed his voice, that low guttural manly voice that gave him chills. Jungkook was a mystery, a total enigma. His duality was insane and it had Taehyung wondering for some time now.
