Part 3
Wandering Dream
Desperately in need of a new day.
One that is not colored in a monochromatic grey.
I just long to wander away from this place –
dance to a world filled with love and grace.
To swim in the sea of warmth, and not the freezing stone walls I call home.
Every word spoken in this prison I live in
is filled with barbs and thorns, my flesh
melting into a grotesque frame.
I just wish to twirl with the winds, climb the mountains –
become one with the ground,
and travel through the valley of flowers.
Get me out of this tower of expectations,
let me breathe freely in another town.
Dreaming about a place with the perfect sunset,
and it's awe-inspiring rise.
I spread my wings to reach this xanadu in my dreams.
I desire, I ache, and I get tired of all the sleep.
When my feet finally settle in the dust,
whatever will I do with this wanderlust.Misha Manan
