So where your mans at?
They said "what's that?"
Smiled at each other then they both laughed.
I don't need a man, she my other half.3 Months Later
"Michael", a faint voice yells from the bottom of the stairs."Michael we need to talk.", the voice yells again after not getting a response the first time.
Michael was head deep in his laundry basket, frantically searching for his uniform shirt so he can sprint to the record shop because he was already running behind. He accidentally overslept, which was very unlike him, but when you overwork yourself, your body is eventually going to be so exhausted that it takes over and forces you to sleep. Try explaining that you overslept, due to exhaustion from working seven days a week, to a boss that simply does not give a shit about anything but how much money his business makes that day because that means more money in his pocket.
Michael rushes down the stairs while pulling his shirt on when his mother with a very serious face and tone says, "Michael we really need to talk.".
"Mom I love you but I really don't have time. I'm already late and the bills aren't going to pay themselves.", he says as he tries to walk out the door but is stopped when the hand of his mother grabs his wrist.
"That's actually what I wanted to talk about. There was an eviction notice on our door this morning and I don't know what to do because we don't have the money to pay what they're wanting." , she said with tears in her eyes. Michael didn't know how to respond other than with a hug because this was not what he was expecting. He busts his ass day in and day out to try to keep up with the bills for them to possibly still end up homeless. He was already working every day, going directly from one job to the next, but he wasn't about to let his family go without.
"It's okay Mom. I will figure something out. You just worry about taking care of Dad. I'll do whatever it takes to make sure we don't end up on the streets.", Michael said into his mother's hair while hugging her and letting her weep on his shoulder. The sounds of her breathing being unstable due to how upset she was made him want to make sure everything will be fine even more. If there was one thing that Michael hated to see most in this world, it was his mom upset. She had so much on her plate already with taking care of his Dad, being that he was physically not able to take care of himself anymore, that Michael strived to make everything else as easy as possible for his Mom, even if that came at a cost of working himself to death.
"I love you. It's gonna be okay Mom.", was the last thing he said as he ran out, closing the front door behind him.

The sound of Ariana Grande music, hangers falling to the floor, and frustrated grunts can we heard coming from Cora's bedroom. The sight of clothes being thrown all over the bed, dresser, and floor was so bad it looked like a hurricane came through and took whatever was in it's path with it. Actually there was a hurricane that came through. Hurricane Cora on a mission to find the perfect outfit to go out to the bar in for a night of drinking, dancing, and breaking hearts.
Pia sat there and watched Cora try on outfit after outfit only to end up wearing khaki wide legged pants with a white corset that tied with a ribbon in the back and had accents of lace on the front. Although she had much fancier things in her wardrobe, even something this simple she could make look like it was something straight from a fashion magazine. She loosely curled her dark brown hair and went for a half up half down look tied back with a big white bow. Accessorizing with a designer white hand bag made out of mostly pearls and some simple rings on her fingers.
