If I looked inside your brain
I would find lots of things
Clothes, shoes, diamond rings
Stuff that's driving me insane

Michael exhales heavily after watching the two friends exit the bar with a million different questions running through his head. What could Pia have meant by "if you only knew the shit she's been through"? What could possibly be so bad in her life of "material" that made Cora so hostile? Why do I want to get to know her better? Why is she the prettiest woman I've ever laid eyes on? Why do I even care when she would never give me the time of day? As Michael was lost in thought, two rowdy men around the same age as him walked through the door yelling and shoving each other like they were having some kind of pissing match. It was already 2am which meant that the bar was closed but Michael was so out of it from the day he had that he forgot to lock up. It wasn't until one of them said, "Ay yo Mike, how many times you gonna clean the same spot on the bar? I don't think it's getting any cleaner mate", that he was snapped out of his thoughts and looking one of his best friends in the eye.

"Fuck off Cal! I've had a day from hell alright. Cut a guy some slack.". Calum laughed as he pulled out one of the barstools and stared at Michael as if waiting for him to go on and give some kind of explanation. Calum was one of Michael's best friends. Along with two others, Luke and Ashton. The four of them are so close that at this point they consider each other brothers more than friends.

Calum Hood was New York City's hottest bachelor at the current moment. The fluffy brown and blonde curls and big brown eyes had a way of working in his favor when it came to the ladies, lots of ladies. He not only knew everyone, but was known by everyone because he has built up a reputation for being a player. He has a different woman in his bed almost every night and he doesn't intend on that changing any time soon.

Then there was Luke Hemmings. Luke was the quiet, more reserved one of the group. He was the most like Michael in that aspect. He had a gentle, caring personality and was the friend you could call on no matter what to be there for you, whether it be physically needing something or simply wanting to talk and have a shoulder to cry on. When it came to his game with the ladies, he wasn't interested in entertaining anyone until he found "the one". However, those piercing blue eyes, bleach blonde curls, and over 6' height caused women to throw themselves at him, even though he didn't use that to his advantage like Calum did.

The last one of the group was Ashton Irwin. Ashton got to know the group when Michael was hired at the bar because he was the DJ. They realized that they were around the same age and immediately clicked so Michael introduced him to the other two. Ashton fit in so well that it was like a piece of a puzzle was found and put in place. Ashton had this "dad like" demeanor to him and was also known as the "vibe guy". Whenever they would hang out, he would always have candles and incense burning, along with a blunt in his hand that was ready to be passed around. He had a long term girlfriend of four years, which doesn't come as a surprise to anyone with those beautiful green eyes and long curly brown hair. His girlfriend was just as chill as he was and loved when the other three would come over so she could cook for someone other than Ashton.

"Yeah Calum, give the man a break. He would've already had the bar cleaned and ready to go if he wasn't too busy staring at this girl that came in tonight.", Ashton yelled from behind his turntables.

Michael's cheeks instantly felt like they were on fire from the the embarrassment. He knew as soon as Ashton said that, he would be asked a million questions about this girl. Questions that he wouldn't have the answers to because he didn't know a single thing about her other then she's rich and has a bad attitude. He wasn't ready to have to explain himself and why he couldn't seem to keep his eyes off of Cora. If he had to be completely honest, he hasn't been able to get her out of his mind since the day he bumped into her on his way to work. Did she leave an impression on Michael? Hell yeah! Was it a good one? No but he was intrigued, even more so after talking to Pia tonight.
