-My, who do we have here?-

As this "Mr. Shikanoin" asked me that, I start to panic.

Is this the guy those two were talking about? What am I going to do? Should I run? Hide? Slap him? Kick his you know what? WHAT. DO .I .DO?

I can feel his gaze piercing through me as I stand up, dust my shirt and say.

-I'm Y/N L/N, a uh merchant! From uh Liyue! I was going to uh the Narukami shrine but I got lost! Yeah that's it!- I respond stuttering.

-Hmmm, well, nice to meet you Y/N L/N! I'm Shikanoin Heizou, Lead Detective of the Tenryou Comission and the best in all of Inazuma!- he stated proudly.

-Uhh nice to meet you too! Umm I really got to go now, umm I'll see you around, I guess!- I said shocked that he believed me.

-Sure- I heard him mutter as I turned around to leave.

A soon as he was out of sight I ran as quickly as possible so that he didn't see me going home instead of Narukami shrine.

There's something fishy going on here. I muttered under my breath as I made my way down the mountain.

I decided to go back to the office and see if there is anything I can do.

I walked past Konda village and Byakko plain. As I walked through Inazuma city I heard various civilians talking about a thief that has been lurking through Inazuma lately.

Thiefs aren't much of a problem, surely the Tenryou police can handle it.

Little did he know, he had already encountered this thief today.

When I got to the police station, Kujou Sara came rushing towards me.

-Mr. Shikanoin, I have a job for you.- she said e been a thief around, the Tenryou police hasn't been able to track it down yet and I think only you can do this one. I hope I'm not making the wrong decision by charging you this case- She said, emphasizing the "you" indicating that if where to fail... uhh, let's just say, I'm screwed.

As Sara gave me the papers for the case I briefly read the description of this thief, they had h/c, h/l (hair length) hair, e/c eyes and wore a black mask. Interesting, this description matches exactly with Y/N's appearance. Now there really is something fishy going on, either Y/N has a twin or they were lying when they said they were a merchant from Liyue, which made sense since they stuttered a lot stating ther business in Inazuma. I assumed they were just intimidated by my presentation, apparently not.

But where did Y/N go to after that brief conversation they exchanged?

-Huh, I guess I'll have to investigate then- I muttered to myself

A/N: I'm sorry to leave it on a slight cliffhanger there, but I'm tired and my neck hurts.

Will I have an upload schedule? No. But I'll try to update every week. You may expect two-three updates a day if I'm motivated and don't forget.

Btw how did yall's Kazuha/Klee pulls go? And how are your yoimiya pulls going so far, I'm at like 64 pity so hopefully I win the 50/50 but with my luck I doubt it🥲

Y'know I would manifest yoimiya for yoimiya wanters but I have bad luck myself and don't want to spread it.
