Chapter 6: Life goes on

It has been two weeks since you moved into Heizou's house, to be honest, it's quite nice to be in an secluded alleyway.

Heizou also, somehow, managed to clear your name from the wanted Inazuma list. So you can now freely walk throughout the city.

It's currently 12:00 am, you decide to go out for a walk, get some fresh air.

You walk around the city for 15 mins, when you suddenly see an unfamiliar face.

-Hey! I've never seen you around here. Are you from another region?

-Hm? Oh, hi! Yes I am indeed, nice to meet you, my name is Aether!- he said.

-Nice to meet you too! My name is Y/N. So what brings you too Inazuma?- I said in response

-Oh, I'm looking for my lost relative- he answered

-Oo, that must be hard, I hope you find them soon-

The conversation lasted a few minutes, and we decided to go have lunch together, as friends of course.

It was getting dark.

-Wow darkout already? Huh, I guess time really does fly by, does it? Aether said.

-Yeah.... I should get going, I hav-

Just then my stomach started to rumble.

-*chuckle* Let me treat you to dinner, (yes aether paid for lunch and dinner) we both need some food-

Just then a little pixie flying human fairy thingy appeared.

-Did someone say FOOD?- (imagine that with the typical just eat ad tone)The pixie flying human thingy screeched.

-WHAT IS THAT?!- I screamed in suprise.

-Who are you calling THAT? Paimon is Paimon! Not "that"- "Paimon" said.

-Oh right! Paimon this is Y/N, Y/N this is Paimon! She is uh.... Emergency food!-

-PAIMON IS NOT EMERGENCY FOOD!-

Just then I felt someone hug me from behind, resting their chin on my shoulder. I look back to see it's Heizou.

-Oh Heizou! I didn't realize you were off work already-

-Yeah.... And who is this?- he said glaring at Aether. I look up at Aether to see him glaring back at Heizou.

-Uh.... Heizou this is Aether! Aether this is Heizou!- I said, uncomfortable by the tense atmosphere.

-How do you know Y/N?- Aether asked Heizou.

-We are coworkers- Lie, I thought to myself.

-Oh, nice to meet you Heizou- Aether said, emphasizing his name.

Heizou just hummed in response.

-WHEN ARE WE GETTING FOOD?!- Paimon exclaimed, clearly annoyed.

-Oh right! Sorry Paimon- Aether said.

The tension seemed to cool down during the rest of the night. But when we got to Heizou's house, he pinned me against the wall and whispered

-Just so you know, your mine~-

Saying that he kissed me, and it felt magical, like the world stopped, the only thing I could hear was my heartbeat, or was it Heizou's? I don't care, I just want this moment to last forever, but alas, all good things must come to an end.

When we pulled apart, he stared straight into my eyes and stayed silent for a couple seconds before speaking again.

-Got that?-

I nodded in response, still catching my breath.

When I went to bed that night, I couldn't sleep, the only thing I could think about was that kiss.

When I woke up and went downstairs, Heizou was already there..... Cooking?

-Wait.... You can cook?- I asked, surprised.

-Hmm? What made you think I can't?-

Before I could answer he came up to me and gave me a quick peck on the cheek. I felt heat rise up to my face.

-Heh, your reactions are so cute~- he said teasingly.

-S-Shut up-
