Chapter 2: The favor

SPLASH

"MAX WHAT THE HELL!?" A no longer sleeping will shouted at the now laughing red head. 

"what? You wouldn't get up! I even tried blasting material girl but not even THAT woke you up!" She added while raising her hands to her shoulders. 

"We'll you couldn't have just banged some pans around?!" Will retaliated hurrying out of his now soaked T- shirt. Max just laughed, "the water idea was more fun! Now hurry up or we'll be late!"

Will rolled his eyes at her as she walked out to finish her breakfast. "Damn it! I just got my laundry done!" he groaned. After putting his now soaked bedding in the washer he went to the bathroom to get dressed.  "WILL HURRY UP!"  Max yelled even more irritated at the boy. 

"OKAY IM ALMOST READY GOSH!" He was lying. He had just got done with brushing his teeth and was now moving onto his skincare. "Cleanliness is close to godliness" he hummed. as he finished washing his face he retrieved his products back to his room and finally began to get dressed. He threw on a neatly prepared outfit, a blue polo shirt with dark blue jeans. Will never thought to much when it came to putting together an outfit unless he was going to meet a high end celebrity,  but he knew that would never happen only because his reoccurring thought about that topic is 'what kind of celebrity would decide  to go to Hawkins Indiana???? There's literally nothing here' and so he felt he just never had to worry about it. 

"WILL WILL!  YOU NEED TO GET DOWN HERE ASAP!" Will quickly threw his bag over his shoulder and hurried down the stairs only to see a stunned max staring at the television in shock, her right hand cupping her mouth. 

"Well what is it!?" He questioned while being annoyed that she dragged him from his room because he thought something serious had happened. 

"MICHAEL  WHEELER AND JANE HOPPER ARE DATING!"she yelled while her face began to heat up due to unsubtle anger. "WHAT!?"Will joined in, rushing to her side. 

"Oh now I'm pissed!" Will added plopping a seat on their couch, max did the same thing.

"Me too!"max folded her arms still starting at the television until she focused her attention on Will who was was staring at her as well. They both had furrowed eyebrows for half a second before bursting into laughter. 

"I CANT!"max yelled,wiping a tear from her eye. 

"I KNOW! Like they'd ever even breath in our direction!"they both laughed even harder. 

"Okay seriously though, if we were famous we'd obviously have them snatched by us" max rolled her eyes while flailing her hand. 

Will shook his head in agreement before talking,"I have to agree your literally so pretty max, Jane would be crazy to turn you down in an alternate universe where she's also a lesbian and your famous" max laughed again before patting his back, 

"And you?? You have the prettiest eyes will! Mike would be the dumbest boy to not see that in an alternate reality where he's gay and utterly in love with you too!" 

they both stood up and walked out the door, both carrying bags on their shoulders. Will walked out first as max followed behind breaking the comfortable silence, "Will you wanna know what else Michael would like about you?" Will turned his head a little trying to finish her sentence, "my personality?" He gleamed. 

"No. That fat ass!" She yelled and gave him a smack on his butt making him jump. 

"MAX!" He yelled, she started to run to the car while laughing hysterically. Will followed behind her and got in the passengers side. "That wasn't very nice max! " she turned on the engine and began to back out of their driveway. 

"Oh boohoo it was only the truth, you should be happy most girls would seriously kill to have a butt as big as yours" she said again while looking both ways before entering the street. Will just gave her a quick shove to the shoulder. 

"Would you quit it!" They both laughed and got on the rest of the drive in a comfortable silence until Will spoke again, looking down at his ohone.

"I still can't believe Michael wheeler and Jane hopper are dating, I swear my gaydar is never off and it told me mike was indefinitely bisexual but Jane really gave off independent or lesbian vibes, but whatever guess I was wrong " he sighed beginning to look out the window. 

"We'll that'd be a first!"max side eyed Will then turned her attention back to the road. 

"do you think we have time to stop for coffee?" Will asked while rubbing his still tired eyes with both hands. 

"I think that's a GREAT idea." Max took a u-turn and pulle into Karen's cafe. 

They parked then walked in, they were met with the  delightful smell of coffee and sweets. 

"Ooh smells delicious as always" he inhaled and walked over to the register, max following behind him,  a woman with blonde long hair and a smile waved at them. 

"Hi max and will, what can I get for you two today?" She asked politely as ever, Will smiled back and looked at max waiting for her answer,

"Um can I just get my usual?with a cream cheese danish pleaseee" 

Karen nodded her head while typing it into the register, "of course, And for you will?" 

"Just the same thing please!" Karen nodded again before speaking, "alrighty your order will be done in just a minute you kids can just have a seat!"she waved before going into the back. 

Max and Will sat down at a table close to the window. 

"Ah I love coming here in the morning" Will started, "same, it oddly makes me feel like a good person" max smiled while will just have a nervous laugh "haha right..." max shot a look back at him. "Hey! Don't make me take back my compliment about your eyes! " she retaliated. 

Will gasped, "don't make me take back you being pretty!" They began to bicker back and forth further until the sound of the cafes telephone began to Ring. they both shut up when they witnessed Karen come out to answer it, she began to talk but neither of them could make out what she was saying. She looked at max and Will with the most serious expression on her face then back at the floor she was standing on.

"Woah did you see that glare she just gave you? I think she heard you talking all of that nonsense and got fed up with you.." max whispered to the boy. 

Will just rolled his eyes and whispered back, "what are you talking about? She was clearly looking at you because she noticed that your shirt was on backwards" 

Max opened her mouth beginning to say something until she looked down to see her shirt was indeed backwards this whole time. She gasped before whisper yelling:"And you didn't think to tell me before we left the house!?" Will laughed quietly and whispered, "you were to distracted by my big butt so I guess I forgot to mention it!" Max rolled her eyes. "Why you little-" she was cutoff by the sound of Karen.

"Your food and coffee is ready!" She yelled cheerfully. Will got up to go retrieve the item whilst max ran to the bathroom to fix her shirt. 

"Hey will, I need an absolute favor from you and max." She pleaded while handing him his and max's food.. 

Will just raised his eyebrows before placing his hand on her's and stating,"of course, what is it?"
