"Come on mom pick up pick up!" Mike quietly pleaded while nervously tapping his index finger on the other side of the phone. He heard a static noice start to come through the other end of the line.

"Hello?" It was his mother.

"Hi, yes, mom!" He sounded exited while Jane just nudged him and mouthed 'ASK HER' he rolled his eyes in retaliation quickly turning to face the other way, his back now facing Jane.

"Michael, I haven't heard from you in god knows how long, this better be you calling me to tell me you love me!" Mike cringed at the quick scold  turning his head back to look at Jane hopping she'd just tell him that they'd think of something else, however, Jane just rolled her eyes and snatched the phone from mike instead.

"Hi Ms. Wheeler," Jane spoke surprising Karen on the other end, "oh h-hi Jane, I wasn't expecting to be hearing from you.!" She yelled in surprise, "yeah I was just calling to ask you a favor and mind you it's a very big one I will pay you however much you may need!" It went silent on the other line for a second before Karen began,

"...ok well what is it hun?" Her voice became more natural and focused, awaiting the response of the what seemed to be troubled brunette, "Well...me and Mike are flying over to Hawkins, and we'll.. we were wondering if you'd have a place for us stay? I'm so sorry to have to dump all of this on you but it's really urgent! Again I'm so so sorry if this is an inconvenience for you!"

"Hey, hey, hey, it is OKAY" she had tried calming down  the now stressed girl on the other line.

"I'll figure something out Jane! " Karen went silent again but this time for more than a second, soon Jane heard the other end discontinue and gasped slightly.

"I think your mom just hung up on me!" She took a seat on mikes couch while folding her arms.

"Ha! I don't know if I should feel bad for you or start laughing honestly," Jane just gave him a sharp glare when she noticed Karen calling mike back. "Oh!" She answered the phone while getting up and began to pace back and forth mindlessly.

Mike looked over at her to see her nodding and finally saying, "no, that's perfect! Thank you so much Karen! Thank you thank you!"after that she hung up and tossed him back his phone, "alright looks like we've got a place to stay!" Mike looked back at her with wide eyes, "Are you serious?!" She nodded and smiled with content. "Yeah so start packing your bags pretty boy."

"YOU DID WHAT?" max had yelled pulling into their driveway, Will had told her that Karen asked him back at the cafe if some friends of her's would be able to stay with them for a couple of weeks, and most important that he agreed. Max was never fond at the idea of letting strangers stay in their home especially if she couldn't get in a decent background check.

She looked back at Will, anger still apparent in her eyes, "will." The poor boy choked Before speaking, "y-yeah?" She looked ahead so the only thing she stemmed to be starring bay was the garage walls, "did you ATLEAST do a background check?" Will gulped not making it too obvious that he was scared at the moment although his clammy hands said different. "no...?"

He closed his eyes and tensed up his whole body bracing for whatever Max was going to do next when he heard the unbuckle of a seatbelt, he opened one of his eyes to see her open the door and get out, she walked right into the house leaving the sweaty boy in the car stuck with evaporized fear and newfound confusion.

He followed after her to ask what was wrong she didn't answer. "Cmon max you can't ignore me forever!" He pouted while following her up to her room, she sent him a stabbing glare and began speaking, "I'm calling Karen back and telling her that whatever 'FRIENDS' she has staying with BETTER be under the age of 20, if they ARENT they'll have to find somewhere else to mole out, got it?" Will shook his head and with that max slammed her door shut and began calling who must have been Karen.
