Steve sat in the chair behind the counter, looking down at the name tag that was clipped to his shirt. Family Video Rentals. He sighed at the dull atmosphere. He figured this would've been a fun job, but today it had been particularly boring. Not much business for a Friday afternoon.

Robin came back around the counter from having just helped a customer, her bright eyes looked at the girl she was helping with such longing. Steve knew this redhead, forgetting her name, (maybe Vicky) because Robin talked his ear off about this girl in her band class. They sat next to each other, and Robin was hopelessly in love. A lot like Steve.

It had been a few days since he and Billy saw one another. He was nervous that he'd done something wrong. Maybe Billy hadn't wanted this. Had Steve throw himself on him, and Billy had freaked out?

His attention was pulled back to reality my black polished fingers snapping in his face. He blushed and looked at Robin. He shook his head and attempted to pay her some attention.

"Earth to dingus! Did you hear any of my crisis just now? I made a complete fool out of myself! Vicky is never going to look in my direction again" She whined, Steve rolled his eyes. Vicky. He was right.

"You always make a fool out of yourself Rob. I'm sure it's fine." He told her, turning back to the VCR he was using to rewind a copy of Pretty in Pink. He thought the girl resembled Molly Ringwald very much, maybe that's why Robin was so attracted to her.

"Asshole." She mumbled. They were being pulled out of their conversation when the bell on the door chimed, and in walked Max and Billy.

Billy was wearing a cropped Motley Crew t-shirt, and a tight pair of Jean's. He had a dangling earrings in one ear, and his har was a perfect mess on his head. His eyes found Steve's quickly, and the smirk that flashed told Steve all he needed to know. Billy regrets nothing.

"Hurry up shit bird. I told Joyce I'd have you there at 6:30." He called after Max, who disappeared into the shelves of movies. He walked up to the check out counter with that wide smirk directed at Steve. His cheeks turned a bright red. "So pretty boy, how's the movie rental business these days?" Billy blew a bubble with the gum he was chewing and Steve stammered.

"F-fine. Can I-we help you find anything?" Steve wanted to die. This boy drove him absolutely insane.

"I think I've found it." He winks, Steve's heart pounds. Robin kicked his leg behind the counter and Steve yelps.

"I um...." Steve didn't know what to say.

"Would you like to hang out tonight? I'm taking Max to a sleep over with El. So my night is wide open." He smirks. His blue eyes looking over every inch of Steve he could see. It wasn't as cute as the sailor outfit, but Steve looked good in anything.

"I don't get off until 8 o'clock." He doubted that Billy wanted to wait that long.

"I'll swing by and pick you up. Sound good?" Billy raised an eyebrow, but that smirk never left his face. That gorgeous fucking face.

"Y-yeah. Sounds fine." Steve assured. Fumbling with the pen in his hands, nervousness overtaken his body.

Max cam around the corner with a few chick flicks. Billy rolled his eyes. She placed them on the counter in front of Robin, and she began ringing them up.

"Good choices. El will really like these." Robin compliments putting them in a bag for her. "That'll be $4.65 please." She gave Steve an eyeing look he couldn't quite place.

Billy handed Robin a five dollar bill and Max took off out the door with the bag. Billy rolled his eyes again at his brat sister and waited for his change. Robin handed it to him in a timely manner.
