The rain that had been threatening to fall all afternoon, finally fell as he pulled into his driveway. He parked and sighed leaning back in his seat, rubbing his hands over his face as he watched the rain fall. He was tired and sore, from his workout and just wanted to take a hot shower and go to bed. He got out of his car and ran to the front door of his house, getting completely soaked. He unlocked the door and went inside the dark house, shutting the door behind him. He took his shoes and jacket off as he walked through the house, turning lights on as he did. He went to the laundry room cursing the weather as he stripped out of his wet clothes, before wrapping a towel around his waist, he then headed upstairs for a hot shower. He began to shiver from being wet, it was official Dean Ambrose hated the rain!
Once upstairs Dean went straight for the bathroom, he decided to have a hot bath instead of a shower, so he ran the water. When it was ready he put his phone on the sink, and took his towel off, before he got into the water, a smile on his face as he leaned back closing his eyes. His right shoulder and right hand both began to ache a little from the workout he had done. He lifted his hand up and began flexing it to get it to stop, as he did he starred at it and saw the scar on the top of it, he turned it over to find the matching scar on his palm. Feeling the tears come to his eyes, he quickly shoved his hand back under the water, unable to see it anymore stopped the tears from coming. He quickly watched himself, before he let the water out and got out of the tub. He began drying himself off, but stopped seeing his reflection in the mirror. He wrapped a towel around his waist, before he looked in the mirror again; looking at himself closely in the mirror was something he usually avoided. He first looked at his face, gently touching the many faded scars there, before he looked at his upper body and again touched the many scars there as well. He gripped the sink with both hands, so tight his knuckles were white, as he hung his head closing his eyes tightly fighting to keep the memories buried.
He had no idea how long he had been standing there lost in his head, but the feeling of two, strong, familiar arms wrapping around his waist, as the person kissed his back between his shoulders brought a smile to his face, bringing him back to reality. He lifted his head, and opened his eyes looking in the mirror he saw the reflection of his gorgeous husband Seth Rollins. Concerned brown eyes of his husband, met his sad blue eyes and Dean sighed, as Seth kissed his shoulder before he spoke.
"Dean, baby what's wrong?" Seth asked worried.
"Nothing baby boy, just having a rough night! It just got a whole lot better though!" Dean answered, as he turned around to face Seth.
"Oh, yeah? Why?" Seth asked.
"You're here!" Dean answered before he kissed him.
"Glad I could help!" Seth replied smiling, as Dean began kissing his neck.
"Where's the kids?" Dean questioned, before continuing his attack on Seth's neck.
"At Ro's for the night." Seth answered, Dean pulled away and smirked.
"I can think of another way you can make me feel better!"
"Oh, yeah? How?" Seth asked smiling.
Dean didn't answer, instead he picked Seth up putting him over his shoulder and carried him into their room. Once there Dean put a laughing Seth on the bed and began kissing him, as he stripped Seth's clothes off.
"I like how you think Mr. Ambrose!" Seth took Dean's towel off.
"Less talking, more love making!" Dean said as they both laughed.
**Days Later**:
Days later, Dean and Seth were sitting in the Doctor's office, they were waiting for the Doctor to give Dean the okay to return to work. It had been two months since Dean had been kidnapped and seriously injured by a drug dealer named Fox Walker; because Dean's father Robert had owed Fox money. Dean's injuries had all healed; he had needed rehab for his right shoulder and right hand though. Dean's kidnapping had been added to the list of numerous, horrible things that seemed to happen too often to their family. It seemed like whenever they start being happy and enjoy life, something always comes along and screws it up; it was like they weren't meant to be happy! As they waited Seth held Dean's hand tightly, he knew that since the attack Dean had been struggling with his nightmares again, and he was worried about him...the whole family was! The same thing had happened after the hell they went through with King; they had almost lost Dean to his demons that time! They didn't though, because he got help and he fought with everything he had to get better. This time though things were personal, this time Dean's father was involved. After trying to reconnect with Robert, believing he was sober, Dean found out the truth; his father was still addicted to drugs and had lied to them about being clean. After Dean was released from the hospital he refused to talk about his father, or what happened; acting like it never happened, and now two months later he still acted like that! A week after Dean had come home Seth talked to Dean, he was going to suggest Dean call his psychiatrist Maria Crane, but before he did, Dean told Seth he was going to call her. Since seeing her again, Dean was slowly bit by bit returning to the old Dean.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, but I wanted to talk briefly to Dr. Crane, before I made my decision." Their family Doctor said as he came into the room.
"So, what's up Doc?" Dean asked nervously, all three men smiled at Dean's joke. "Am I cleared?"
"Well, after talking to your rehab trainer, Dr. Crane, and doing some pshyicals on you. I've made my decision." Dr. Gray explained.
"Okay, well you wanna share it with us?" Dean asked still nervous.
"You're cleared! There are a couple conditions though!"
"What? Anything!" Dean asked so happy.
"You must continue seeing Dr. Crane, until she feels you're okay mentally. As well as you must continue doing your exercises for your shoulder and hand; neither are at 100 percent, but they won't affect you in the ring. Those are my conditions, you agree you return, you don't then..."
"I agree, I promise!" Dean assured him.
"Good, I've already spoken to the McMahon's, they know everything and you return this Smackdown!"
"Thank you so much Dr. Gray!" Seth said smiling, as they shook his hand and left ready to start living a normal life again.
