I straightened up quickly and pulled my-... his hoodie down below my ass as it had scrunched above my waist when I had bent down.

I saw him steal a glance and a smile grew on his face.

I turned off my phone to turn the music off.

"Heyyy" I managed to spit out.
I was embarrassed.
"What are you doing up?" I asked.

"I was going for a midnight snack, and I think someone else had the same idea." He said walking towards me.

I tilted the tub towards him and offered him some.

"Thanks for offering me some of MY ice-cream."

I felt my face drain of blood. I took the spoon out of my mouth and apologized.
"I'm so sorry I'll buy you new tub tomorrow." I cried.

He laughed and headed for the open freezer door.
He closed it and almost ran into me if I hadn't backed up.

He went straight for the drawer that had the spoons.

How did he- Just Luck I told myself.

I put the tub down and hopped on the island looking at the mess I made on his hoodie's sleeves.
When he turned around, I hid them so he wouldn't see.
But he caught me early and shot me a confused look.
His left eyebrow raised. I surrendered my wrists showing him the disaster I had made.

"That was my favorite hoodie." He sighed.

My face dropped
"I'm sorry I- " before I could continue, he chuckled.
"I'm kidding, stop apologizing for everything."

He dug at the ice cream, I would think to eat the cookie dough pieces.
I smiled and said, "You're going to have to dig a little deeper. I kind of scoured for the ones on top".

He grinned, turned around, and leaned on the island.

"So how was your night?" he asked.

"I had fun, except Ellie stole all the covers so I was freezing my ass off."
I watched as he dug around the tub.
He walked over to me and handed me the tub.
I retrieved it and then to my surprise he hopped onto the counter with me.
A smile broke on my face but I tried to contain it so he wouldn't notice.

"So, you have tesla?"

I didn't know what to talk about with him and I remember handing him his keys earlier.

"Yea" he said, receiving the tub I had handed to him.
"I thought it was a good investment, you know, save the earth and all."

Exactly what I meant when I said I could sense he was a sweetheart.
He offered me more ice cream and I dug around but never took another bite.

"What about your boyfriend?"
I shot him a puzzled look.
"What car does your boyfriend drive?" he said, swallowing the last spoonful of ice cream.

I was so confused.
I said "I don't have a- ".
I got interrupted by the sound of my spoon falling on the floor.
He hopped off the counter and picked it up in an instant.
He gave me his spoon and washed off my spoon that had touched the floor.

I could melt right then and there just like the ice cream that I was holding.

He was so... sweet... sweet isn't even enough to describe him.
He gave me his spoon. I took another bite.

"You don't have a boyfriend?"
He took a spoonful of the ice cream still in my hands,
but he held on to the tub putting his hand over mine.

I could feel my heartbeat in my thighs.
Why was I overreacting?

He left the spoon in the tub and stepped closer to me.
I could feel his breath on my neck and we were eye to eye, his arm wrapped around me, not touching me though.
