A commotion coming from in front of us broke the silence. I looked at the front door and saw that it had opened and shut. Two people were making their way towards our direction.

I put my hand on his shoulder and pushed him down so they wouldn't see us.
I don't know why I felt the need to hide, but I went with my instinct. I ducked quickly waiting for them to walk by.

Two blonde girls walked by laughing and talking.
They didn't look familiar. Maybe I had seen them last night, but they weren't threatening. I was so paranoid Sam would find out about me and Mark hanging out, I couldn't even enjoy my time with him.

I sat back and sighed. He stretched his arms and let out a big yawn. I looked at the time.

5:55 A.M

I turned on the A/C realizing it was warmer then I would have liked it to be. I looked at him and the lighting from outside defined his facial features.

I wish we could take pictures with our eyes.

He had a tired look on his face and I felt guilty.

"Wanna go back inside and try to catch at least a few hours of sleep?" I offered.

"Depends," he said.

What, I thought to myself.
I shot him a glance with my eyebrows slightly furrowed.
"Will we be staying in the same room?" He said his finger trailing up my arm.

A chill went down my spine.

"I'm afraid not sir" I said humorously.
He dramatically looked out his window.
"Then I'm not interested," he said playfully.

I pulled on his hand that was already on my arm. "Come on, Mark. We gotta go inside"
He broke his act and said
"Alright", turning off the car.

I led the way to the house, him behind me. I reached behind me waving my hand inviting his hand to join mine. He grabbed on, but just onto my finger tips. We headed up the steps and stopped at the front door.

He pulled me towards him and held me.

I wrapped my arms around his neck intertwining my fingers. His eyelashes were longer than mine. He had a beauty mark under his right eye that I hadn't noticed before.

He inspected my face.
His eyebrows frowned. Oh god.

What happened?

"Everything ok?" I said ever so slightly, pulling back my head.
"Yea. No, everything is fine except... yo- your  lips they're-"

Oh god. I licked them thinking they were dry and crusty.

"They're not on mine" he finished.

No he did not.

I unlocked my hands and dragged them down his body.
I pushed him jokingly.

"I hate you" I uttered.

He chuckled.

I grabbed the door knob and pushed the door open. I walked towards the stairs, him following close behind.

"Where's your room?" I asked.

He pointed behind him with his thumb over his shoulder.

I took 3 steps on the stairs and told him good night.
He said good night.

I didn't notice how tired I was until I walked up the stairs.
I missed a step and caught myself.

"Don't trip," he said, his voice coming from his direction.
