We drove back to the house, again music filling the silence. It wasn't awkward though.

To preface, I've never been in a relationship before. I know kinda pathetic. Explains why my heart palpitates everytime a guy gets close to me. My friends always stole the show when we went out and no pity party but I was nothing compared to my beautiful girls. Something I came to terms with way earlier in life. So I don't know how to act when I get into situations.

We walked back into the house, retrieved our stuff, and made our way back to the car. The house was empty far as I know.

I shot Ellie a text seeing what was going on on her end.

"So where do we go from here?" Mark asked.

I searched for the time on the screen of his car.

4:23 P.M

Time was cutting close.

"Um you said you had to go back to your place?" I said.

"Oh I could just ask my neighbor to take care of Benny and then we can go to the bar or wherever so you can get ready " He pulled out his phone and started tapping away.

"What about your outfit for tonight?" I asked

He stopped typing and erased what he had started.

"You're right"

"You could drop me off If you want-" I started.

"Or you could come with." He proposed.

"Yup. We could do that." I said.

Damn. I was already going to this man's house.

Ellie

Me: hey how are things going?

Ellie: They're... going. I'm on the phone with the company I ordered from trying to figure out how they could've fucked this up.

Me: oh god. well I'll be there soon gotta do something real quick and then I'll bring your dress to the bar.

Ellie: Okay thanks. Love you

Mark put the car in park and I looked up to find ourselves in a loop in front of an apartment building.

Ha. Building. More like skyscraper.

A man in a suit opened my door and held out his hand for me. I looked at Mark in astonishment. He nodded towards the door and I proceeded out the car.

"Thank you" I said.

The man nodded and reached for my bag and the dresses.

"Oh you don't have to-" I reached for my stuff but he had beaten me to it.

Mark appeared behind me and took the stuff from the man.

"Thank you Ezra. I'll take those." He hoisted the dresses over his shoulders and handed me my bag. We walked up the steps and stepped into the lobby. The most luxurious lobby I've ever seen. Everything was pristine and it smelled like heaven. The lobbyist greeted us with a smile. Mark directed me to the elevator and we went up to the 21st floor. The long hallway was intimidating. We made it to a door labeled "Suite 2104" and he unlocked it with his fingerprint. I stood in silence.

He held the door open waiting for me to walk in. I stepped in and took in his place. Everything was put together. His living room was well decorated with black leather sofas, a wooden coffee table, albums on the wall and a large tv. The room broke into the kitchen and hallways on either sides. Benny appeared from the hallway to my left and showered me with kisses.
