In Your Dreams ~ Reddie Oneshots

•Did you just...kiss me?•

It was early in the morning in the Kaspbrak house and the whole house was still asleep. Well, except for Richie Tozier. Richie and Eddie had a sleepover last night, meaning Richie was gonna be at Eddie's house until at least lunch time.

So, there Richie was, sat up in Eddie's bed, reading a comic book, while his best friend, and all time crush, slept next to him. He has always been an early riser since he was little.

Richie flipped through the newest comic book they had gotten as he swayed to a tune in his head.

Next to him, Eddie let out a little contented sigh in his sleep and Richie immediately stopped flipping through the comic book to glance over at him.

That's what it was supposed to be, a glance, but his mind had other plans.

Eddie was currently laid on his stomach with his head to one side. His hair against the pillow in all directions and one arm on the pillow, the other under it. Richie's heart instantly skipped a beat at the sleepy boy next to him.

Richie glanced over to the alarm clock and realized that it was gonna go off soon. He figured he may as well wake up Eddie before the alarm did.

Richie set the comic book down by his feet and quietly placed his hand on Eddie's back.

"Eds," Richie said softly not to startle the boy.

Eddie didn't even move. Richie had found Eddie was always a pain to get up in the morning.

"Eddie," Richie continued, this time a little louder.

Eddie stirred a bit and took a deep breath before yawning and pushing back into the bed.

Richie let out a breathy laugh before contemplating his next move.

What if he...pushed him a bit?

What if he...flopped on top of him?

What is he...hugged him?

What if he...kissed him?

No, that's stupid. Eddie didn't even like him back and he was still asleep, so he wouldn't even notice.

Wait, he wouldn't even notice.

Richie's mind raced with the thought of pressing his lips to Eddie's. Or to his cheek. Or to his forehead.

Shit, he was so in love with Eddie.

Eddie was still asleep(to what Richie thought), so Richie decided he would take the chance. Eddie wouldn't even notice. And if he did, he could totally play it off and say that Eddie was still half in his dream.

"You got this, Tozier." Richie whispered, trying to psych himself up.

Richie turned his body towards Eddie's and leaned down. He pressed a single kiss to his cheek before coming back up.

Eddie stirred and his eyes fluttered open fully now. Richie's stomach almost dropped.

"Rich, did you just...kiss me?" Eddie asked sleepily.

Stick to the plan, Richie. Say he must have still been in a dream! But, that's not what came out of Richie's mouth.

"I uh...maybe?" Richie said clumsily.

Richie could have sworn Eddie was going to yell at him, but instead Eddie sat up and reached his hand out for Richie's.

Richie gave Eddie his hand before starting to speak, barely even noticing Eddie just gestured to hold his hand.

"Look Eds, I wasn't thinking and I-" Richie was cut off by Eddie kissing his hand, while looking up at him.

"Relax, Rich. I never said I didn't...like it." Eddie said, brushing his thumb over Richie's knuckles.

Eddie looked up at Richie with his big doe eyes and Richie almost melted. However, he soon turned back into his normal self when he realized Eddie might like him back.

"Careful Eds, if you keep looking at me like that, I'd start thinking you have a crush on me," Richie joked.

"You are so dense, Richie. Yes, I have a crush on you," Eddie rolled his eyes and leaned closer to Richie.

"You do?! I just thought that-" Richie was soon cut off by Eddie leaning up to capture his lips in a kiss.

Both boys calmed down at the feeling of the other's lips against their own and soon pulled away.

"Now, do you wanna go get ice cream or something?" Eddie asked, still holding Richie's hand.

"Don't have to ask me twice! Best impulse decision I have ever made!" Richie said loudly, smiling like an idiot.

That day, the to boys spent their day as normal. But this time, there were a few kisses and hand holds snuck in whenever nobody was looking. No matter what, they were always together. And that's how it would stay, for the two. Forever and always.
