*Smut Warning*

"This has to go perfect this time," Richie thought to himself, as he finished tying his sneakers.

The boy soon got up, grabbed his skateboard and headed for the middle of campus.

The thing was however...Richie Tozier didn't skateboard. Or he didn't...until about 5 hours ago.

More things he didn't do included guitar, weightlifting, or...eyeliner. But these were all things he seemed to be trying in the last few months.

But there was a particular reason he's been trying all these new things. A reason known as his best friend, Eddie Kaspbrak.

You see, for as long as Richie can remember he's been head over heels for his best friend.

They've always been close. Closer than normal for best friends. And it seems like that's only gotten to Richie's head more and more these past years. Even more so after they both came out as gay during freshman year of college.

Sometimes, Richie thought as though Eddie liked him back. When his lingering glances were met with a cute giggle and a wink. Or when Richie brushed his hand against Eddie's and the boy simply just smiled and intertwined their fingers.

But alas, despite Richie's pining, Eddie still ALWAYS seemed to find someone cooler than Richie to talk about.

First it was:

"Oh my god! Richie, did you see Tyler playing guitar during the second act?! So hot!" Eddie whined to him after the pair had went to see the college musical.

Richie had just smiled and immediately ordered a guitar on Amazon the next week.

He only really learned a few chords before he decided that it was too difficult to be as hot as Tyler.

Richie wouldn't look at the kid for the next month, despite sharing two classes with him.

Next it was:

"Hey Rich, have you ever tried lifting weights?" Eddie asked when the pair were relaxing in Richie's dorm.

Richie responded with a laugh and a simple "uh...no?" Before Eddie went on about wanting to try it because it seemed attractive to be able to lift something or someone.

And so, Richie found himself sweating in the school weightlifting gym about three times the next month before his tall lanky stature got the better of him and he self consciously backed off.

Then came:

"Richie, look! Did you see that picture of Tom Holland wearing eyeliner in that new movie?!" Eddie asked Richie with wide eyes as they walked to class.

Eddie turned his phone to show Richie before he saw Eddie's thumb double tap the Instagram post and continue scrolling.

Richie just blinked at him for a couple seconds before wondering how much an eyeliner pencil cost.

Richie eventually decided he wouldn't go THAT far as to buy makeup he wouldn't really use that often...BUT...

The next day, when they were all hanging out in Beverly's dorm, Richie had taken one from the girl's desk before sticking it in his pocket to try back in his own dorm.

I guess curiosity often kills the cat.

However, the following day, Beverly woke up to a knock on her door and was met with Richie with an extended hand and her eyeliner pencil.

"Is eyeliner bad if it gets IN your eye? Like, the entire white part of your eye turns black?" Richie asked, pointing at his eye in exaggeration.

Beverly just laughed and dragged him into her room.
