*Smut Warning* + *A bit of Angst*

It's been a year since it happened.

A whole year and it was still in the back of his mind.

A year since, Henry Bowers carved his name into Eddie Kaspbrak's thigh.

It still haunted the boy.

Every time he looked at himself in the mirror all he could hear was Henry's laugh mixed with his own screams.

The first couple months were hell. Having to wear longer shorts to hide the name on his thigh. Or rush away to change a bandage because blood was seeping through it.

It was faded now, I suppose...

All of it scarred...but the deeper wounds were still more noticeable. The first part of the H and the curve of the R were still bright as day. At least you couldn't tell what it said anymore unless you were really close to him.

Eddie had just finished hanging out with his friends and was headed home.

Though as he turned onto his street, Bower's and his goons rounded the corner and started yelling.

After then it was a blur.

A mix of the taste of his tears, the excruciating pain in his leg, and the look in the carver's face.

Henry said something about "since I couldn't carve the cheese on that Ben kid, I may as well go with second best," but it's all a foggy memory.

Well, it seemed that way...

Until the middle of the night-

When he'd feel himself in bed shaking with small whimpers and tears.

He was still in the dream though, so he couldn't stop it.

Couldn't stop the memory of the pain or the mix of different laughs Bower's yelped in his face.

He'd scream and scream until he felt his voice go hoarse. But when he woke up, nothing changed but the tears on his cheeks and the sweat on his hands.

And that scar.

It's been a year since it's happened.

Eddie isn't even sure how he's hid it so long.

He's always told his friend's everything.

Especially Richie Tozier.

His best friend.

He always shrugged it off when Richie caught a glimpse of it or flinched away when Richie tried to put his hand on his thigh.

He'd managed to completely put all his friend's off of his trail.

Not wanting them to worry...or get themselves into trouble by trying to beat up Henry Bowers.

Eddie was the youngest in the group and by that logic, he was everyone's responsibility to keep safe.

Especially Richie's.

Though, Eddie wasn't always sure why.

Sometime he see's a glimmer in his eye when they make eye contact, but he's never been able to put his finger on what it meant.

Even after all the sleepover's at Richie's house- Eddie has still managed to keep it a secret.

That was, until that one night recently.

A knock sang through the door, Richie immediately perking up.

He threw down a book he was "reading" for school and ran out of his room.
