It had been three days since Eddie and I started "dating." It was going pretty well besides the fact that he wouldn't stop staring at me during lunch, when everyone could see. He was making it quite obvious that there was something going on. I was hoping today would be different. I didn't know how much longer I could keep this a secret with the way he was acting.
As we were walking through the hallway, I pulled him aside. "We need to talk."
"About what." Eddie asks.
"Us. You have been making it quite obvious that there's something going on between us."
"Yeah? I thought this is what you wanted?"
"No! This was not the deal. The deal was for us not to tell anyone. And with the way you're acting, everyone knows." I could tell I was getting frustrated, which was also not the goal.
"I see. You never wanted this, did you?"
"Eddie, no that's-"
He cut me off. "You know Jade, I thought you were different. I'm done."
And with that, he turns away and keeps walking. I didn't know what to do anymore. This was not how I thought this would turn out. I just wanted him to dial it down a bit. At least until I had a definite answer for him. I feel like I shouldn't even care. He was ready and I wasn't. He can't blame me for that. I told him he shouldn't expect anything out of this. I took a deep breath and started walking towards my drama class.
Drama is the one place where I can truly let myself feel and make it all look like an act. I'm glad it's almost the weekend so I can fully gather my thoughts.
For the rest of the week, Eddie avoided me at all cost, and I was okay with it. I needed some time to myself.

Also, writing this chapter kinda broke my heart but I needed to add something new. I hope you guys don't want to commit a crime against me for ending the chapter like this 😭.
