"Yeji?"
Yeji looked through the window from her position, into a pair of the wrong eyes.
(Yeji's POV)
"What do you want Ryujin? You cheated on me! And now, you took advantage of me when I was drunk!" Yelled Yeji, unable to stay cool.
"Do you really think I would've cheated on you that easily?"
Yeji fell silent. After all, she hadn't heard the entire conversation between Ryujin and that woman, perhaps...?
Or maybe, Ryujin was just trying to trick her.
"Like hell I'd believe that."
And without an explanation, Yeji ran away. Again.
Trying to collect herself, Yeji recalled how much she knew of yesterday's party.
The last thing she remembered from yesterday was dropping the - oh, hell no.
(Ryujin's POV)
The woman had upped her, and had run away again! Frustrated beyond measure, Ryujin ran a hand through her hair. She had really thought that she could finally explain what had really happened, and that pendant and chain would clink back-
Wait. Why wasn't her bracelet getting stuck with her hair? Alarmed, Ryujin removed her hand from her hair to find that- there wasn't any bracelet.
"Fxxk everything!"
(Lia's POV)
"WHERE IS YEJI?!" The reverberating shout ran through Chaeryeong's house, echoing off the walls and metal. Lia couldn't care less, really, because after waking up with a hangover, she had discovered that Yeji wasn't to be found in their shared home, as well as in Chaeryeong's. After Lia snuck into the former's house without a warning, that is.
"I'm coming up to the bedroom, Chaer! I can't find Yeji!"
"Lia... WHAT?!"
"What, what?"
Lia swiftly reached Chaeryeong's floor, only to find her wrapping an arm protectively around... Yuna?
"Chaeryeong! Have you lost your mind?!" Lia shrieked, approaching them. "You know her cousin betrayed Yeji, RIGHT?!"
"First of all, my cousin never cheated on Yeji unnie. Second of all, why should Chaeryeong be mad to invite me over?" Shot back a seething Yuna.
"Oh, don't feed me bullsh*t Yuna. I know you just want to defend your cousin, but you don't understand adult matters, do you?" Said Lia.
"Says the person who'll just blindly go with whatever her friend says." Added Yuna.
"Oh, ho ho ho, very funny, coming from the person who likes strawberries with mangoes, is it?"
"Don't you dare bring strawgoes into this!"
"See? This is what I meant by baby talk. Stay at home, lil, and suck on your thumb like the baby yo-"
"ENOUGH!" Yelled Chaeryeong, and the bickering two turned to her in shock. Chaeryeong had never, never spoken out that way.
"Look, let's try to sort out the issue calmly, maybe not like wild animals, hmm?"
Lia and Yuna turned betroot red. "She's the animal here, not me!" They both said at the same time, and then they gave each other dirty looks.
"Whatever. If you want to associate with the cheater's cousin, Chaeryeong, I'm leaving." Declared Lia, pocketing her keys, grabbing her phone, and turning to leave.
"Lia, Yuna is right, actually."
Lia stopped in her tracks, spun around, and looked at Chaeryeong incredulously.
"And what proves that?"
Yuna came forward. "Well, you see unnie-"
(Ryujin's POV)
" Yeji shouldn't know about this, be careful, no spoilers." Said Ryujin, while drawing the streamers on top.
"I promise to be. She, your girlfriend, will know nothing about our plan." Said Minjeong.
Ryujin laughed at the thought of Yeji's face if she figured out about the extravagant plans for their 3rd anniversary.
"Big shocks don't suit her well," she said. It was true, and this time, it would be even better. " My girlfriend gets tricked every time."
Drawing the banner was tricky. It had to be exactly in position.
" Draw it on top, Ryuddaeng." She frowned at the use of the nickname, as it was only for Yeji to use. She was cut off before she could voice out her thouughts. "Ooh, I like it there..." Ryujin heard Minjeong sigh, and felt proud of herself. Kim Minjeong (Winter) was not the mutual friend of Yeji and Ryujin, so it made the surprise factor all the easier. Winter was a party planner, and a damn good one at that. A good friend all around.
"I don't believe it." She heard a voice outside her bedroom door.
Wasn't that-
"Yeji?" Frowned Ryujin, opening the door and smiling. However, inside she was nervous ; what if Yeji found out? "I didn't know that you were here!" But Yeji didn't respond. She was staring blankly at Winter. Hell, she had to cook up a story as soon as possible."Oh, she is-
"Your new girl friend? Oh shut the act, I heard everything you said."
Well, she could call Winter her new friend. But why was Yeji sounding so hostile? She knew that she was valued above all Ryujin's friends. Ryujin decided to confirm if anything was wrong.
"What do you mean, new girl friend? Yeji, we were just-"
"I DON'T WANNA HEAR IT!" Yeji screamed, confusing a certain Shin even further. "You told me you loved me, we went on so many dates, and I was never enough for you, was I? And instead of talking it out, you decided to cheat on me!"
"The f**k are you talking about Yeji?" Yelled Ryujin, throwing her hands up. She had never cheated on Yeji. But Yeji gave her a death glare, telling her to shut up.
"How long has this been going on?" Said Yeji, gesturing in the direction of Ryujin's desk.
"This?" Said Ryujiin, frowning at the paper on her desk. The banner with Yeji's face on it was already drawn;the game was up. Really, she had just wanted to surprise Yeji. "Fine, you caught me. I went extra big this time. Two months."
"Wow. I just-" Yeji ran away, sobbing. Perplexed, Ryujin ran after her, cursing her short legs all the while. Yeji led her to their favourite park. Then she stopped, throwing the pendant of the necklace Ryujin gave her on the ground.
"As long as this necklace is unchained, we will be too. And as necklaces can't be re-chained, say goodbye to me Ryu."
Yeji handed her the pendant of the necklace, which she promptly dropped, and ran away.
Ryujin sat down limply on a bench, trying to understand. When she did, she started crying endlessly, her tears uniting with the fallen rain, ceaselessly dropping on the metal that was the bench. Then she spotted the remainants of the necklace, rainclouds above and all.
She picked up the pendant again, wanting nothing more than to sling it back onto the chain.
