I made sure to hide the necklace now that I realized what it was and I went to work with Jared and things were going smoothly until 'd' walked in and smiled when she saw me.

"I'm not mad about this morning I deserved it"

"Yes you did now make it quick what do you want and I'm having a bad day so no you can't correct your order, either get it all in one breathe or leave without it"

"Did I upset you that much? I didn't mean to"

"No, just let's go so I can go home as soon as possible. I'm tired and need a nap"

"I brought you a gift"

"I don't want any gifts"

"I think you'll like this one" she smiled and put a bag in the counter. "I'll have the exact same thing as yesterday with all the muffins and cookies and coffee I can't say the coffee order in one breath so I need a couple more" she said quickly and with only one breath.

"Fine" I said and she smiled and listed off the order and I started making them.

"Did you want to see what I got you?" She asked looking and sounding a bit nervous.

"I'm working"

"When you're not busy. I uh... I don't fully know you yet but I'd like to and I apologize for this morning I was out of line and I shouldn't have lied to you or even touched you. I truly feel bad but I also have to say that you have amazing form when you elbowed me. I actually think it left a bruise" she laughed a bit and I could tell she was definitely nervous "sorry, I'm rambling. The point I'm trying to make is that I think you're beautiful and slightly mean but that's cute at times and I'd like to get dinner with you some time and I also brought gifts and guessed on what you'd want because I felt like I should get you a gift when I asked you to dinner"

"I'm sorry but I'm like really busy like all the time but you're gorgeous and I'm sure you could get any girl you want"

"But you're the girl I want"

I smiled at her a bit and let out a long breath "where would you take me?" I asked making the coffee and she smiled.

"Well we could get dinner wherever is fine with you I'll follow your lead and then maybe we could go on a walk and see the Christmas lights businesses are putting up for Christmas in a couple weeks and if the night goes well and you liked it then I'd ask you on a second and I wouldn't touch you unless I have your permission entirely"

"When?" I asked.

"How about Saturday?"

"Saturday is the thirteenth, that's not a good day for me"

"Okay that's fine. How about I give you my number and you can text me whenever you have time for me and I'll drop everything and come and get you"

"I'll just give you mine" I said and grabbed a cup and wrote my number on it and wrote the name Delilah on the cup and I wrote Denise, daisy, Danielle, Diana, and Donna for the others and she looked at them confused "you said your name started with a d so here's some names that start with a d" I said and she smiled a bit more and I started packaging the cookies and muffins "how do you afford all this?"

"I've got plenty of money"

I laughed a bit "good. I was scared for a second you were just wasting money you didn't have to spend time with me"

"Well you were right about half of it. Kind of. I have money, I do love spending time with you while you make my coffee and package my food, but I also do it because I genuinely like the coffee and sweets"
