ch.2

I had to wake up at six in the morning to go get ready for work but I really didn't want to go but I needed the money so I got my ass up and got ready.

I didn't do anything that cool I just worked the counter in a coffee shop that was in a Barnes and nobles.

The store doesn't open till seven but I have to go in and help with opening shift today.

I went in the back to grab something but I was interuppted by the bell "we're not open" I yelled but it went off again so I groaned and threw the bag over my shoulder and walked out from the back "we're closed" I said.

"Are you Sydney Graves?" The man asked.

"Who's asking?"

"I have a delivery"

"From who?" I asked.

"I don't get paid enough to ask questions miss"

"Fine. Where is it?"

He bent over and put a vase on the counter then grabbed something else and handed it to me. When I looked I saw the initials L and M signed on the box but no return address. "I'll just need you to sign here please"

"If I sign will you take them away?"

"I'm sorry?"

"I don't want it"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes"

"You don't want to open it?"

"Nope"

"I can't just take a random box I'm sorry"

"If I open it will you take it?"

"I mean if it's not junk I guess I could be reasoned with"

I grabbed a pair of scissors and opened it and pulled out a smaller box and opened it and inside was a note with my name and a candle, a bottle of wine, and also stuff for a bubble bath.

"You wanna get drunk have a bubble bath and light a candle? The candle smells nice"

"You don't want that stuff?" He asked confused.

"It's a nice gesture but no I don't. And you can take the flowers and put them into the tub"

"Really?"

"Go ahead now if you'll excuse me I have work to do"

"You should at least take the card from the flowers"

I let out a sigh and took the card and threw it down on the counter and went back into the back and he took everything back.

I don't need some strange creep giving me things.

I finished setting up for the morning shift and saw the note from earlier off the flowers and decided to read it.

Sydney,
I know you said you wanted roses instead so I sent roses today instead. Hope you enjoy

I threw the note away then opened the one from the box.

Sydney,
I was a bit upset when you left the gifts last night but I understand that you don't know me and that might've come off as a bit creepy and I apologize.

I should've introduced myself but no worries we'll meet soon.

I do hope you accept these ones but since you're reading this that at least means you opened it. I remember you liked your expensive alcohol so I threw in a good bottle of wine for you I hope that's fine.
