Chapter 4: Exam time

After returning from walking Jade home, I was exhausted. I jumped into my bed. From my window, I could see that night had fallen for at least two hours.

Images of the FGSMC were still flowing in my head, but were soon replaced by the different emotions of my day with Jade.

I decided to do some introspection to better understand what I was feeling, and why I was feeling that way. It helped me to accept the fact that I was in love, and to put some words on my feelings. If I was in love with her, I was also in love with the moments I had with her, in love with her glaze, in love with her laugh, in love with our frenzies.

She might be more than a ten physically, what made me fall in love was her personality, our complicity. That was definitely the fatal blow.

While thinking about it, I even surprised myself, imagining if I had even one chance, when I received a message on my ManApp. Obviously it was her.

There is another person, like us, with whom I was still in contact recently. I couldn't contact him for the last few days. I absolutely need to know if he is fine. Do you think you could have that answer with Khal?

I put my communication stone on the side and closed my eyes. I imagined myself back in that dark cave where I found Khalel, lying on the ground like he was taking a nap. He opened his red eyes, looking at me.

"Is everything's right for that personne Jade talked about, Charles,"

"Yes."

Without waiting, I jumped out of that state, took back my communication stone, to reassure Jade on what I got. But she was very dubitative, like she couldn't understand something. Curious, I asked her what the problem was or might be.

I have known him for a few years... Well, he was a connaissance at first in a game I used to play. But he contacted me again two years ago. He had problems, and I helped him.
