Jade explained that people with special powers were existing in the utmost secrecy. Called 'prescients', they would be few in the whole world.

Their powers were most of the time quite paranormal and unrelated to magic. Some had their natural strength increased more than tenfold, others had unnatural powers like feeling what was going on somewhere else. The few who were sorcerers could even have humongous mana or multiple element affinity.

Another interesting characteristic from prescients could be another personality inside of them. Whether malicious or beneficial, powers were supposed to come from it.

Because of it, some of them were becoming monsters, even cannibals in some rare cases. For the majority which didn't know of their own special characteristic as 'prescients', they were often taken for mad schizophrenes with multiple personalities.

Whatever the cases, Jade said that no prescient could be described as 'normal'.

Finally, she explained that as they would be very few, and even if they were unknown to the world, they were hunted by some secret organizations in order to study and research them. When caught, they would be dissected to help understand what could affect their potential in different ways, and how to reproduce it in selected people.
