Fitz was standing at the plate glass living room window of his hotel suite, glass of scotch in hand, looking out into the night. He'd left the Caldwell estate more than an hour ago, coming back to the hotel and his most secure communication detail to coordinate his decisions with Cyrus back in DC. Only after that was done, did Fitz allow himself to relax and allowed a sense of satisfaction to fill him. He smiled to himself at all that he'd accomplished today. He'd more than earned it, he thought.

He had every reason to be pleased with the day's events; on the presidential side, he was confident that the decisions that had been made today - and the people who had willingly chosen to stand by him would leave a positive mark on not just the country, but the world. In its way, this was history in the making; it's what every president before him dreamed of, leaving an indelible mark on the world. Fitz took a deep swallow of his drink and let that knowledge curl warm and welcoming around his insides.

That warmth also reminded him that through it all, Olivia had been right there by his side. That was the cherry on top; there was something special about being out in public and having Olivia there with him. For a little while, he had been able to pretend that his most cherished fantasy was real, that all the BS was behind them and he was finally openly living his life with the love of his life by his side. Fitz couldn't remember the last time when the day's events had worked out so perfectly - and they had the rest of the night to look forward to, just the two of them.

As if the universe had heard him, Fitz heard a quiet click as the door behind him opened. He smiled without turning around. "Remind me to authorize you to oversee my travel arrangements from here on out."

Fitz heard Olivia settle her belongings on the nearest couch and a few seconds later she was behind him, wrapping her arms around him from behind. He could hear the smile in her voice.

"So you approve of the arrangements?"

He let one hand cover hers, their fingers twining themselves together. "I most definitely approve."

That was putting it lightly; Fitz more than approved; from the moment he'd arrived he'd found himself pleased by the understated but rich décor of the suite. It was all warm browns and ivory tones, and every detail of his needs had been seen to, from his favorite scotch waiting for him in the mini-bar to the rain forest shower that had been awaiting him - it all had been exactly what he'd needed to loose the tenseness in him - a fact that Olivia had obviously anticipated.

Was there any reason to doubt why he loved this woman so much? She knew what he wanted, what he needed - on so many levels it was almost scary. But Fitz knew that he wouldn't have it any other way.

And now, with the work of the day done, here they were. Together.

He felt her sigh softly with pleasure as Olivia let her body lean into his. As if she'd read his thoughts, he felt her satisfaction match his own, felt the realization of the day's accomplishment seep from him into her along with the knowledge that they'd done this together.

As his hand tightened on hers, Fitz closed his eyes and let himself savor this moment; it was everything he'd dreamed of from the day he'd met this amazing woman. This was his future - their future - and every day they were coming closer to it becoming that much more of a reality.

"Thank you." He said aloud.

"For what?"

"Where do I begin?" Fitz set his drink down on the nearest table before turning her around to face her. He took her into his arms. " For everything. There aren't enough words to thank you for everything you've done for me today."

"Right back at you, Mister." Olivia smiled up at him. "But you know that I was just doing my job - speaking of which, have you talked to Cyrus? I know you've talked to Cyrus..."
