❝ WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE | JAMES CONRAD ❞

JO-ANN EDGAR HAD the best parents she could ask for. She was an only child, which meant that her parents gave her everything she wanted. But they didn't spoil her with it like other parents would. If she wanted something from them she had to earn it and by doing that it helped her learn a lot in the process. Jo-Ann was a good student in school and she always protected the friends she cared about.

If someone messed with her friends she would protect her friends and fight for them. The young child was always sent to the principal's office at least once or twice a month, sometimes more if she were in a mood. After moving on up through the years she decided to go to college, Jo-Ann studied animal biology. After finishing college she went around to study different types of animals learning everything she could about them.

But it didn't last long, Jo-Ann found a new passion and joined the CIA. She worked her butt off to get where she was but no one thought she could get there and didn't treat her the way that she knew she should be treated. Her colleagues made her life miserable and she tried everything in her power to prove that she was meant for this line of work. She was eventually able to prove herself especially after becoming a skilled tracker.

She hunted people down if they needed to be found and were hidden in plain sight. It was something she was good at. However one mission seemed to change her life for the better. On the mission she had met James Conrad, the two had begun a relationship after that. And of course words spread quickly of a US agent and a British agent being together. With the discovery of their relationship Jo-Ann made sure that she couldn't be found by her own co-workers.

That meant that she had to leave her parents behind, even though that killed her. James was there to ease the pain but it never really went away and Jo never forgave herself for how she had chosen to go about it. After a few years of their relationship word had gotten to her that her parents were in danger. She had to go back to America to save them and that's exactly what she did.

She wrote James a note, granted she knew it wasn't the best way to say goodbye or break things off but it was the only way she could make sure that he was safe too. Deep down she felt that they would come after James as well. It was in his best interest and his safety that he was protected from her. A few days after she went back to America, James thought that she had died. And while he tried to move on he couldn't forget the feelings that he held for Jo-Ann.

So he did what he did best and shoved them down into the abyss hoping to forget about the love of his life. When Jo-Ann arrived at her parents home to make sure they were okay she was attacked in their home and left to die in her childhood home. Her parents hadn't been home when she was attacked. After the attack, Jo was left in the hospital for a few weeks. She had taken damage to her spine and her legs.

The brunette had to spend a decent time in physical therapy learning how to walk again. A scar laid down her left leg, mostly from the surgeries she had to endure while recovering. Jo-Ann thought that maybe she could go back to James after what had happened, but she couldn't bring herself to go back out and search for him. So she tried to push her feelings for him down as well.

But James was the love of her life and she knew those feelings would never go away even if she tried. But things got better for her when Randa came into her life and asked her to come work on a project for Monarch. She was getting a desk job to start and then they would see how things progressed through there. She only hoped that they would ask her to join them on their future project.

Jo-Ann wanted to get back out there, mainly because she hated being stuck at a chair behind a desk. It also didn't do her leg any good, and it would often send a stabbing pain through her leg. One that she wasn't fond of in the least little bit. When Randa finally did come to her, on the inside she was thrilled, excited to finally be getting away from the desk. Jo-Ann's life was finally getting back on track since the accident had happened.

She just didn't know what she had been getting herself into. After the events of Skull Island, and Jo-Ann's almost death, she and James got back together. Eventually the two married each other, and in 1984 the married couple welcomed their first and only child into the world. They had a daughter, and named her Theodora Jesse Conrad. After the birth of their daughter the two continued to live out their happy life, helping with Monarch, and raising their daughter until their deaths.
