All Byleth could really do was eat, sleep, and listen to the little girl he met first within this village when he awoken in the tent. It turns out, her father is the chief of the clan... meaning that she is the chief's daughter, making her a chieftess.

"Oh, and don't even get cocky with me for a second! I'm my daddy's daughter, so when I get older I'm gonna become the tribe's next leader! So treat me with respect, and I shall show you mercy." The little girl smirked deviously.

But what exactly did she mean by that...? Byleth didn't know, and he didn't exactly think he wished to know, so he shook the words out of his head in order to forget.

Eventually enough days had passed, Byleth was able to stand back up on his two feet, and he no longer felt weary and exhausted. He walked out the tent and the moonlight shone down on the tribe's village, millions of stars glittering the skies above.

Byleth walks over to the lights he saw from a far ditance. Away from the village, and out in a vasy grassy hill, the tribe had a campfire started, everyone dancing about, eating and drinking, having a merry ol' time. It would seem this is what they do in order to relax and enjoy themselves at both evening and night.

There has been several occasions, Byleth could have sworn he heard hoots and hollers outside, far, far, far beyond the tent from which he was glued to for much required rest.

Byleth always wondered what those noises were, what they came from... but he never bothered to ask any members of the tribe, or Sothis for that matter.

But now... he finally knows. Usually Byleth was one to either has a straightface, or just a simple calm expression painted across his features. He wasn't known to smile very often. But that night, when he joined the tribe in on their fun and games, he smiled. He hasn't smiled like this since...

...since his days at the Officers Academy. Since his days filled with teaching his students both academic and life lessons. Since he was with his father. Before everything shattered apart like a wonderful dream coming to a sudden end.

But as time wore on, eventually, a little boy poked at Byleth, pulling his attention. The boy excitedly told Byleth to follow him, and he did.

But by what Byleth saw next... shocked him so very much. Sothis sat huddled around a bunch of children before a campfire. She holds a stick of chopped meat in her hands as she bit into it... and... it would seem the children could see her. Why and how could this be...?

"Oh, hello Byleth. Surprised?" She beamed a smile over to him. Byleth remained speechless, but his eyes shot out big in great surprise followed along with confusion.

"What's with that look? Are you that shocked?" Sothis giggled. "The reason these children can see me... well, it's because... my past, it is somehow connected to this tribe. I do not know in what way, but it is strange. Isn't it?"

Byleth nods slowly, still pretty taken aback. But when the adults came over, they thought the children to be make-believing in, "Ghost". And they thought it cute that Ansel seemed to be playing along with it.

The hooting and hollering would continue on throughout that night. Followed along with much more festivities such as dancing, chattering, and drinking, and much more.

This place... to Byleth, if he could truly trust these people... if he could open up his heart to them... perhaps, this place could be his new home. A safe haven from the exile and death that the rest of Fodlan threatens. A place he can treat others as family without them pointing weapons at him. At last... he feels he has finally found such a place.

Daylight's passed through colored glass, in this beloved place. Silver shines, the world dines, a smile on each face.
