1.Panic

Ok so first all I'd like to say this is my first ever like story I'm publishing for anyone to see,so pls go easy on me!! Also I know this is prob cringe but also ur the one reading it so I mean....anyways the setting of this is after S4 and they byers are visiting Hawkins!! Of course will and mike like eachother and vecna is around. By the way this story may contain triggering topics,and I will try to put a TW.so yeah imma stop rambling and start writing!!

(Also I don't feel comfortable saying the F slur,though I am lgbtqia+. Instead I will just fill it in with (f slur).

POV of Will

Finally they were back in Hawkins! The past week has been crazy,not to mention just the past few years. He'd been traumatized and almost killed,possessed,Hawkins had been invaded by Russians,his mothers best friend had a fake death and got kidnapped by Russians,and now Max,one of his best friends,was blinded and in a coma.

Honestly Will's whole life had always been lousy. His father abused him and then left. He'd always been bullied and called gay. Those bullies just wanted to mess with him,but little did they know they were right. Wills was gay. Why him? Wasn't his life hard enough? He'd always try to suppress those feelings,danced with a girl at a dance and other implements, but it never worked.

So here he was,stuck having a crush on his best friend since Kindergarten.

That's one things that was nice about the long,long van ride. He was with Mike 24/7. At one point mike got tired and fell asleep. Will eventually fell asleep too,of course after admiring Mike for a bit. When he woke up his hand was in Mikes hair,and Mike was on Wills lap. Will was trying not to blush profusely,though he was failing. He zoned out while gazing at Mike.eventually snapping out of it and realizing he was brushing his fingers through mikes hair. "Mike won't wake up,it'll be fine" He thought to himself,though he was wrong.

When Mike woke up he sort of stayed lying there until he realised what was happening. He freaked out and blushed then sat up and apologized. Will of course didnt need to forgive him because he was never mad. He assured Mike it was ok and they moved on.

Will had thought about that moment the rest of the drive, blushing everytime. Though after they retrieved Eleven from NINA,everything changed. Mike was all over El again and Will was the third wheel again. He noticed Mike trying to include him. Will of course tried to pretend to be happy, even though he was truly upset.

Maybe more than upset.

Maybe..jealous.

Once they made it back to Hawkins after the "earthquake" and everyone reunited. Things felt...weird between him and Mike. Mike seemed to be distancing himself from Will but at the same time..clinging to him. Will kept asking Mike what was wrong but Mike just brushed it up and made excuses. "Oh I'm just tired" "I tripped and my foot hurts a little" "Me and Nancy got in a fight" Will knew these were lies. Will also knew Mike must not be ready to say what was on his mind,and Will would never push Mike to say something he didn't want to.

Joyce tried to pretend they wer just visiting Hawkins. She also tried to pretend nothing was happening between her and Hopper,though Will knew those were both complete lies.

The first day back in Hawkins they saw something.The grass was dying and it was snowing in a way. Will had seen this before. He had seen it in the Upside Down.Wills mind started racing when he saw this "Am I back?Did I ever leave? Is this a dream? What's happening?" Suddenly it his eye sight started fading,he was struggling to breathe. "Just breathe Will it isn't that hard! Stop crying dad was right you are weak.  
He tried to stop these thoughts,but he couldn't. He had no feeling in his body except the feeling of crying and struggling to breathe. Suddenly his dads voice crept in "stop crying! It doesn't hurt! You can't even take a few hits,I guess my son is a (f slur)"

Suddenly he heard a voice "WILL!? WILL CAN YOU HEAR ME!? PLEASE JUST BREATHE IM RIGHT HERE" It was Mike. Will tried. He tried as hard as he ever did. He started feeling better. His dads voice was fading and his eye sight was coming back. "Mike..?" "Yes bud! Yes Will I'm right here!" Mike's voice was shaky and his face was blurry. Will was still happy to see him. He knew he had his feeling back when he felt the grass on his legs and arms,and tears rolling down his cheeks.

Mike,talking in the softest voice he could,told Will "hey it's ok. I think you had a panic attack but it's ok! I'm here!"Mike was setting Will down in the grass when he saw some tears on Mikes face. Mike seemed to realize at the same time and swiftly wiped them away,almost in shame.

"I-I'm so embarrassed,the whole world is at risk and I'm jus- I'm just-" Mike quickly cut him off,"NO! No Will, don't be embarrassed,you were in the upside down for a long time this must be so scary for you. You need to stop apoligizing for everything! You can't help it! It isn't your fault Will. Don't be embarrassed." "Oh- uh thanks Mike.."

Suddenly Will realized he was still on mikes lap. Blushing he quickly sat up."sorry I didn't realize-" "Will it's ok!! Do you need anything?" " no no I'm sure I'm fine."

That's when Will noticed mike was just slightly....blushing? No no it must have just been from the crying..yes that's it,the crying. Will also noticed everyone standing around him: Joyce,Johnathan,El,Hopper,Nancy,and Argyle.

"You sure you're all right brochacho?" Argyle questioned. "Yes I'm- im fine."
"Oh sweetie no you're not. Come here." "No mom I'm fine! You know I've had lots of panic attacks before. How is this anything different?" Joyce stared at him. "Lots!? Like how many!? I've only heard of a few of them!" " mom I don't have to tell you everything!" "But you should tell me about panic attacks!" "I-I've seen a couple.." said Mike,quietly, "that's why I knew how to get him back" "WHAT!? I've only heard of one with you when he was around 9!" "Mom...stop." Johnathan knew her yelling would just make Will cry worse "You shouting and freaking out isn't going to help Will!" "I know..I just get so worried"

They walked to the cabin and discussed what to do. Mike was between Will and El. El layer her head on his shoulder,while Will watched enviously,though he didn't show it. As the group was deciding what  to do about it all Mike whispered to Will "let me know if you need anything" and pat wills thigh. "Will nodded and looked away,trying to hide his blush. He payed his head on Johnathan,and Johnathan hugged him.

The group decided to go pick up Steve,Dustin,and Robin,then pick up Lucas. As they were heading out Mike hugged Will and whispered in his ear "never ever do that to me again Byers. I almost had a panic attack myself!",and off they went.
