4. Denial

POV of mike

Mike woke up before will.after he opened his eyes he notice wills arms were around him. Will face was buried into Mikes back and he was breathing calmly.The Will effect was in place. "Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh!! What is happening he's so cute!!! But I mean I don't like him that would be gay he's just really cute! I'm sure he's not gay either and that it just happened in his sleep"

Mike was in his denial phase.

About 30 minutes later Will woke up and realized his arms were around Mike. He was extremely surprised and so embarrassed he fell off the bed. "Oh my gosh I'm so so sorry Mike I don't know what happened I didn't mean to I'm sorry I'm so sorry this is so embarrassing!!" He said,scared Mike had figured out what he was. "Will it's ok!! Sometimes people just need a hug,besides you just did it in your sleep!! Stop apologizing for everything! Plus We've been friends for 10 years! We can hug sometimes!"

Friend's...just friend.

Denial.

Will was quiet for most of the morning,and Mike noticed.After breakfast they went down to the basement, "Will you've been quiet all morning. What wrong?" "Nothings wrong I'm fine! I'm just embarrassed."Will answered,though there was more to why he was being quiet, he was,in fact,embarrassed. "Will please just talk to me! I care about you so much and you never talk to me about what's wrong. You just keep it all in,please Will,just tell me something." Mike begged.

Care. Not love. Care.

"Fine.."Will answered,and he began,"I just feel...out of place. I mean you and El have each other,Max and Lucas have each other,and Dustin has Susie,but I have...no one. I mean I have you guys but not a....special..person; and the person I like definitely doesn't like me back...so I'm just...here!" Mike stared worryingly at Will "I feel so bad...I wonder who he likes..I bet she's pretty.....she.." Mike said all this in his head,but out loud he went, "oh my gosh Will! I'm so sorry...is there anything else?"

Denial!!

"I mean...I guess I feel like people think I'm like...f-faking my panic attacks..for..a-attention..?" Will was starting to cry. "Oh Will!! Come here!" And mike hugged Will, "No one thinks you're faking it!!" "You-you promise..?" "I promise! It's ok!"

They hugged for a few minutes. "Th-thanks mike,I feel better now" "of course Will! I care about you so much!! I'm always here to listen!" They sat in silence for another few minutes. "I hope Will actually feels better! I love- like him so much..because he's my best friend.."

Sprinkling in some denial (;

"So..will..tell me about this crush of yours!!" Mike insisted excitedly. "Uhm..fine! Well he- they have black curly hair...they're taller than me,and I've known them for years." "Wait..that sounds kind like m- , no! That would be gay...Will isn't gay..and neither am I!!" He conceptualized. "Wow Will they sound really cool!

More denial....

When Joyce came to pick Will and Jonathan,Mike and Will begged their moms for Will to stay, "PLEASSSSSE MOOOM" Mike begged all whiny, "mom please please pleassse" Will also pleaded. "No sweetie,we have to go grocery shopping!" Joyce answered, "no micheal! They have their own things to do!" Karen stated. As they said their goodbyes, Will and Mike hugged,and that hug had more feeling in it than any other hug they had had before.

Mike went up to his room afterwards, "hehe we hugged!! It felt so..warm..and nice...." More of the Will effect.."why do I feel like...this around Will?Am I gay....no...maybe..I don't feel that way around Eleven..if I'm gay...then...what will people think of me?? What will happen to me?? I'll be bullied and called a "queer" and a "(f slur)" like Will..I mean I don't need to tell anyone..I'll just make myself like girls....and even if I don't..I'll make myself marry a girl..."

Denial..?

Oh my gosh this chapter is sooooo short also!! I mean we are getting progress with Mike.. he has realised but he is trying to make himself straight...
