Claire's Pov

"Claire" I froze with my lips folded, my hand hovering over the door handle mare inches away. I straightened my posture but faced my brother in no way, the jacket on my arm being adjusted.

I was yet to master the art of 'sneaking off' in odd hours.

"Chris" I replied softly as I finally turned to face my brother in the dark, Chris running his fingers through his dark brown hair.

"Tell me that this is a mere coincidence and that you were not sneaking off with that boy I warned you about" Chris stated and my eyes widened.

I swallowed but did my very best not to appear guilty.

"Of course not, Tiff and Samantha actually called and I- '' and I paused in my statement when he turned the lights on, his eyes raking my outfit. I was in my biker attire, my biker shorts far too short for his liking.

"Chris I am not a kid anymore, I am sixteen years old" I hissed and Christ lit a cigarette.

"Exactly, you are a sixteen year old girl who would have gone racing with that wild boy if I actually went to bed" he hissed and I sighed and rolled my eyes. It would have been nice if that 'Captain' he spoke of so often gave him a hard time at work today and his snores filled our two bedroom apartment.

"Kids my age do not have a curfew of 9pm on a Friday night" I frowned with my arms crossed, Chris puffing smoke while I fanned dramatically. And there he goes, smoking around the sixteen year old.

"My words are final, to believe you actually disobeyed my orders" he stated firmly and I actually roared. I believe Chris forgot that he stood to be my older brother and not my father.

"Gosh, you suck!" I handed my jacket over to Chris aggressively before making my way towards my bedroom. I peeped through the window the moment a pebble was tossed through my window, my blue eyes falling on the guy that had been waiting for me to make my way down any minute now.

I giggled, his eyes appearing rather bright the moment he saw me.

"Come on!" he whispered and I issued a sad laugh. Easier said than done honey, the tyrant is on the loose.

I stuck my tongue out the moment I pretended to cut my own throat, a small indicator that my brother had found out. What startled me was the fact that rough hands peeled me away from my window, a bucket of water being dumped onto Tyler while I stared with an open mouth.

My brother would not approve of this long ass journey on a motorcycle just to see him but if he would have answered his phone it would have actually led to the avoidance of such a situation. While I could drive a car I was far more fascinated with motorcycle's so for my eighteenth birthday which was only a year ago my brother bought me a bike. I smiled, while I was a nineteen year old virgin I could not deny my brother's over protective nature sparing me from heartbreak.

I would not trade my brother for anything in this world.

I tightened my hold on the motorcycle that was due for a fuel reload anytime soon. I had been riding for at least an hour so when I saw the 'welcome to Racoon City' sign I was highly relieved. My slight relaxation was replaced with fright when a black jeep almost sent me to heaven as a virgin.

"Damn it!" Thanks to quick reflexes I was able to steady my motorcycle and avoid the gazing driver. I was back on the road smoothly, my middle finger raised high enough for the moron who tried to have me killed.

"Asshole!" I hissed as I sped off.

When the gas station was in sight I felt a bit more relaxed, my helmet being removed the moment I pulled into the gas station. I threw my leg over the hunk of metal as I placed my helmet down slowly, my ponytail being flashed a few times.

Oddly, this gas station was far too quiet for my liking. I removed my wallet, my eyes on the convenience store in the distance. I made my way over there to pay for the gas I desired but to my surprise the store was as dark as the pits of hell.

"Hello" I called softly as I pushed the door open, my eyes moving to the destroyed light bulb. No wonder the place was so dark, it appeared as though someone swung a bat to the darn thing.

"I was just filling up, is anyone here?" I asked as my eyes moved to the flashlight in the distance, my fingers curling over that flashlight once I heard odd sounds. This small shop was destroyed, there were chips, drinks and all sorts of things on the floor.

The chill that now existed was a result of the refrigerators being left open and there was no an odd feeling in my stomach.

I froze when I shun the light in the direction of the odd sound, my fingers curling over the metal flashlight while I gasped in horror. My eyes had to be lying because on the floor was a man enjoying the flesh of another human, my stomach churning at the sight before me.

All humanity I hoped to see faded the moment the man turned to look at me and I took slow steps backwards. I screamed the moment it made its way towards me, my free hand pulling random objects behind me as a means of path obstruction.

I ran into a hard body, the flashlight falling at my feet as I stared into gray eyes, my mouth open as he glared at that which was behind me.

"Wait! I am human!" I warned when it finally dawned on me that he was a cop and his gun was raised.

"Down, now!" he warned and I followed his command swiftly, the shot being fired. Still crouched on the floor I turned to stare at the thing that chased me, its skull cracked open and I swallowed nervously due to the gore sight.

"What the hell is going on?" I asked and when I turned around the handsome stranger had a hand stretched towards me, my eyes on his gloved fingers before I took the hand offered,

"I have no idea but I believe we will be safe at the station" He told me and the moment I was on my feet my eyes moved to my motorcycle. I believe he caught my eyes, a growl coming from the distance. There were more, there were actually more of those little bastards.

"Your bike is no longer safe, we'll take my jeep" he stated and it finally dawned on me, This handsome devil was the man that almost had me killed minutes ago.

"There are far too many of them" I hissed and the stranger had to be a cop because he was absolutely calm in the midst of this.

"Run!" He hissed and I ran as though my life depended on it. We got in our respective side of the vehicle rather swiftly, the jeep moving through the herd of strangers that attempted to claim our flesh. This had to be a fucking nightmare, if he was heading for the station as mentioned then I would feel safe seeing my older brother again.

"So what brings you to this city besides flipping people off?" He asked as soon as the creatures were out of sight, my eyes moving from my window to his face. My lips curled into disgust, he actually should be ashamed of himself.

"I am here to see my brother, he's a cop like you. What brings you here besides trying to run bikers over?" I hissed and he actually showed no emotion.

"It is my first day on the job, Leon S Kennedy by the way" he replied in a monotone like voice and I cocked a brow. Well, he sure had one hell of a first day.

"Claire, Claire Redfield. It is nice to know that you are not just a rookie driver but also a rookie cop" I teased with a cocky grin and he did what he was very good at.

He showed no emotion.

"Well it seemed as though that rookie cop just saved your life" he replied flatly and the grin I wore fell. I crossed my arms and continued to gaze through the window. I do hope whatever awaited us in the city was far better than what we saw at the gas station.
