Enough food and water to last two months (Scribe Brisley will know)
Brahmin feedJust some of what Max and Jack need to survive out in the wasteland. Not to mention clothing and information. For the past few months Max had been looking through old medical and military terminals to see if they could find somewhere they could set up base. About a week (on foot) North East of DC, there was a Vault that appeared on a Holodisk from the Vault-Tec Headquarters.
It was called Vault 46. Neither Jack or Max (or anyone for that matter) know anything about the area. The Vault doesn't seem to be near any major towns or cities, so both men were hoping that no nuclear warheads had landed there. But apart from the Vaults coordinates there hadn't been any information on it.
"Max, are you sure that it's a good idea all of us heading there?" asked Jack worryingly "We can't find it on any other files. It might not even exist! We would have ran out of supplies and would die out in the middle of nowhere!" Max rolled his eyes
"Do you really think that a holotape, in the CEOs safe, or what was left of it, would be a fake? There's plenty of Vaults off record! It's just a coincidence that the one we're going to look for doesn't have much information left on it. But y'know, Nuclear Holocausts tend to do that!"
Jack returned to speak to Elder Lyons "Elder, we're ready to leave tomorrow morning. We've decided to head to Vault 46, it's off record and none of the public should have been allowed in. Our suspicions are that it'll be empty and probably closed. Is everything we've asked for ready? The hired guns and supplies?
"Yes, Jack, all is ready. The mercenaries I've hired are from Oregon. They seem a sound bunch. None of them raiders, and the supplies are top notch. Brahmin steaks, Aqua Pura, Pre-War snacks and Scribe Brisley got you some Nuka-Cola from that nutty Quantum addict in Girdershade.
"Thank you Elder Lyons, they'll be most useful on our travels. I do have one question though, how are you sure we can trust the hired guns? Jack asked thoughtfully
Elder Lyons replied grinning "I had a feeling you'd ask that. You always were a worrying type. You can trust them, they just need to get away from DC, start fresh and build a community. They seem very eager. Oh yes, before I forget, take this. It's a radio from an Enclave vertibird, it works as a two way radio between the person and the vertibird.
Jack replied with a grin "Thanks, this can come in useful. It's been good to work under you Elder, I'll never forget what you have done for us."
