3rd POV
Months have passed since the friendship between Chara and (Y/N) began, they knew no one would lend a hand to become their friends, so just have each other, and it was just what they needed, someone to support and be supported, they played on the hill, allways trying to conquer the top of it, and it was pretty much even between them, but Chara was the first to break the tie. They watched the village from a far distance, trying to think a way to make their home a better place, like "what about a place to take care of wounds there?" or "A headquarter aside the church." and "a park full of yellow flowers right in the middle".
These ways they allways had something to do and only get away from eachother when they sleep, the rooms were divided by gender, so they couldn't talk to each other on night time. But it really don't matter to them, since they know where to find their friend.
Days were going fast, like wind on the plains, weeks, and then months, (Y/N) and Chara were now fifteen years old, they never got tired from eachother, but the more time they got together, more and more they got in complicated situations, like slap the ass of a horse to run away from it's owner, but they were going further, from killing old chickens to set fire on a few trees to see how high it could get, but Chara was the worst, one day she pushed a kid in front of a carriage, the man could handle well the situation but it made the carriage lose it's balance, Chara ran away and (Y/N) apologized for her friend, he spoke to Chara and said how absurd that was, she rolled her eyes, but (Y/N) said "If you get in a higher trouble, they might get me away from you." With this, she understood what she was doing and accepted to never repeat this again.
It was night time, the full moon shines at the sky, (Y/N) was gazing at it amazed as if it was the first time he saw it, looking down for a bit he saw a strange man wallking towards the orphanage, looking at the hand of the man he saw something on fire, a torch, he found it strange, but he realized something, it was the same man from the carriage Chara unintentionally made it fell, connecting each point he knew why this man was walking towards their house.
Soon the man threw his torch through the middle window, making the fire to start on the living room, smoke was everywhere, screams were taking control and despair was the only feeling everyone was having, everyone beside (Y/N), he regained control and runned to the girls room to find Chara "CHARA!!!" he screamed outloud, but no answer was heard "CHARA, WHERE ARE YOU?!" he screamed again, but this time "(Y/N)? IS THAT YOU?" She screamed and got closer through the cloud of smoke, their eyes met, a tight hug of consolation from each side.
Chara:"Why is this happening? How did this happened?" She asked crying and almost driving into her dispair.
(Y/N):"It was that man from the carriage, probably wanting revenge on us." (Y/N) said, but not putting blame or guilt on Chara, useless, since she know well it was her fault.
Chara:"Sorry for this, i-i'm sorry for what i've done." She cried on her hands, (Y/N) hugged her to calm her down.
(Y/N):"We'll go out of this. We'll be fine, ok Chara?." He asked gaining a weak nod from her. "Let's jump from that window, we can't go through the living room." he said and pulled Chara's hand with him, she jumped out of the window first and (Y/N) was right behind.
???:"YOU!!!" The guy pointed to them. "I'll make you pay you damn brats" He said with rage on his voice.
(Y/N):"RUN CHARA." You screamed as both of you started to run out through the deep forest, you didn't know much about this place because both of you were a bit scared of it, but know you have to survive.
Runing and runing was the only thing you both could do, the man was right behind, but he wasn't very adapted to run in the forest, so he was almost losing the trace of Chara and (Y/N), they were getting very tired, when something they didn't imagined, the forest ended with a huge cliff, Chara almost lost balance, and (Y/N) was afraid due the situation they were.
The man was getting close, Chara and (Y/N) were walking backwards due the aproach of them man, until Chara's feet slipped, leading her fall towards the bottom of the cliff, but (Y/N) holded her hand, he wasn't the most strong person, so he couldn't get her back, he just could hold her and pray for a miracle, but it never came, the man found them on thier situation and started to laugh sadisticaly.
Chara:"(y/n)... let me go..." Chara said to him, making him surprised. "Please, live for me (y/n), i don't want you to die, so let me fall and run. Just promise... that you'll allways remember me." She said as tears runs down her cheek.
Man:"Now, i'll make you pay for ruining my life!" he exclaimed as got even closer, a like 70 yards from them, walking slowly, getting the most of this moment to his satisfaction.
(Y/N):"Chara... I promisse you..." she heard this and closed her eyes, waiting for her death, wanting to (Y/N) to release her hand, and this happened, but not how she imagined. When she opened her eyes and got a glimpse, she saw (Y/N) hugging her tight, falling to death with her. "I promisse you, that i'll never leave your side Chara, never." He said as she hugged him back.
Seconds passed like hours, it was taking to long to hit the ground, but it didn't matter, they had each other, and that's what relly matter to them.
