Chara and (Y/N) have been training since that day, they were taught how to wield a weapon and a gun, mastered every type of combat in their respective weapons, Chara choosing a hand knife, becoming a perfect assassin, being capable to go through any armor with savagery and elegance at the same type, as for (Y/N), he chose the noble Chikage, weapon of the knights of Cainhurst, being capable to go against numerous enemies. But their training weren't only focuse on the weapon, but the queen herself taught them how to control the blood and even the moon.
Chara focused on the blood mastering, being capable to use it on her knife to extend it to ten times its lenght without getting any heavier, she could manipulate her knifes as if it was telepathically, but was her blood on the knifes letting her control them easily, the moon wasn't her focus, but she managed to use it to summon even more knifes and control them.
(Y/N) on the other side focused on getting full control over the power of the moon, he could use it to gather the power of it and put on his blade, or even get an exclusive armory from the moon depending on its phase, on the full moon he could get until the night end the holy moonlight blade, which no one would've seen it before, he could even create a small moon to lend it's power to Chara and himself even if it's daytime, he know about blood power, but only the basics, like extend his weapon but just a bit.
They were the prodigies of the queen, decades have passed until they got experts on their weapons, Chara and (Y/N) had respectively already 48 years with the look of 21, and 49 with the look of 21 as well, they were untouchable by time afterall, after all these years, they never leaved their sides, and never evolved either, allways being the best friend they needed, and they were allways happy about it.
The queen called (Y/N) and Chara to do their first jobs as the "hands of the queen", they got into her chamber and kneeled towards the queen. Lady Maria was by her side as allways, but everytime she seemed more tense about something.
Annalise:"today is your first job, you'll be heading outside of the castle and handle the threats approaching, they should be easy enough for both of you to handle, but either way you can allways use your last resort." She said as both of them looked at the bootle of blood they had. "You know you'll get stronger and powerful, but the more you consume it the more you'll sink into it, and i don't want that to happen to you." She said making them nod to her statement. Annalise nodded to Lady Maria.
Maria:"You have to go out through the north tower and you'll find an abandoned windmill, there will be the place to protect, the creatures wants to destroy everything there, and the queen want to reuse that place." She said as Chara and (Y/N) noded, they got up and walked towards their destiny. As they were getting out, Maria unintentionally moved her body towards the queens direction.
Annalise:"Something on your mind Maria?" She asked politely, knowing something is off.
Maria:"I-i know i made a promisse to those kids, and i did as i said, i took care of them and trained everything i know, and i even got very affectionated to them..." She said as Annalise looked at Maria, showing that she is paying attention on what she's saying. "But i think i can't continue here, i've already been here for so many years, and i want to know how is my home, how is everything, i waited for them to become older and leave to the first mission... to avoid seeing them with sad faces." She said with a tear coming out of her face, she was scared of what the queen would say, but she was surprised.
Annalise:"I was waiting for it..." She looked confused at the queen and looked at her. "Every hunter, no matter when, they'll want to leave and explore the world again, it's natural and i understand." She said as she look straight at the corridor. "You may know that Cainhurst is your home and when you feel lonely or missing here, i'll allways open my arms for you." She said as she caressed Maria's arm, a few seconds passed as Maria walked toward the end of the corridor, and going to the gates to leave.
