The next day-
You slowly opened your eyes, adjusting to the light coming through your windows into your room. For a moment you forgot where you were, you had just been dreaming you were back at your old house. For a while you had been living with your friend, but they moved to another country to start a new job, that's why you ended up moving in with Kevin. Right, Kevin. You suddenly remembered what had happened last night. Kevin had come home drunk and you had taken care of him and put him to bed. You wondered how he was doing. Checking the clock you realized it was about 9:20 am. He was probably still asleep.
You checked your phone, going on Twitter to see if there was anything new going on. Since social media was part of your job you liked to keep up on things. After scrolling for a while you got up and decided to take a shower.
You grabbed a fresh towel and went into your bathroom across the hall. Turning on the shower to a comfortable temperature you hopped in, letting the water wash over you, waking you up fully. Once you were finished you found your towel, wrapping it around you tightly. After doing your usual morning routine you adjusted your towel again and opened the door, ready to walk back into your room and pick out your outfit for the day. But when you opened the door and stepped out of the bathroom you ran into someone. You let out a quiet noise of shock.
Looking up, you locked eyes with your Irish roommate, standing just inches away from each other. His hair was messy and his face was tired, but his eyes were wide with surprise. You were sure you wore a similar expression. You hadn't brought clothes into the bathroom with you like you usually did, since you were sure Kevin would still be dead asleep for a while longer.
He looked you up and down before looking away swiftly. You felt your face turning the familiar red it seemed to be so often around Kevin lately. You quickly took a step back, glancing back at him for a second, it seemed he was just as embarrassed as you were.
"Shit, sorry Kevin, I thought you'd still be sleeping..." you apologized. He laughed, and the shyness of his expression vanished.
"That's alright. I don't mind." Kevin smiled down at you playfully, but his eyes held a serious gaze.
Before the blush on your face could get any worse you retreated into your room and closed the door. You stood there for a moment, fully registering the unfortunate event that just unfolded. You walked over to your bed, flopping down face first, sighing into your pillow.

Once you were dressed and had gotten ready for the day you knew you couldn't hide in your room any longer. You knew what had happened wasn't a big deal, that Kevin and you would just go on pretending it hadn't happened. The problem was, you couldn't stop thinking about Kevin, about the way he had looked at you, about how close you had been to him in such a vulnerable state. You shook your head, hoping these thoughts would dissipate. Taking a deep breath, you stood up straight and opened your door. Before you could get into the hallway though something caught your eye.
There was a cup of coffee on the floor, right outside of your doorway. It was in your usual mug, and looked to be made in just the way you liked it. You picked the drink up, confused, but sipped it anyway.
You marched into the kitchen. You didn't see Kevin around, this realization made you feel conflicted. You were happy to not face him after your unwieldy interaction, but was he hiding in his room avoiding you? Had you made him uncomfortable? You started to make breakfast for yourself as you deliberated, drinking your coffee, deep in thought. You didn't notice someone had come up behind you until they cleared their throat.
"Ehm... (y/n)?" You swung around to see Kevin standing a few feet away from you.
"Hey Kevin, what's up?" You replied nonchalantly. Keeping your confidence would make this a lot less awkward.
"Sorry about before," Kevin laughed, and you were happy he didn't seem to take it too seriously. "I was coming to knock on the bathroom door to ask if you wanted me to make you some coffee."
You couldn't help but laugh, "That explains the coffee mysteriously appearing outside my door." You looked over at the cup where you had placed it on the counter, and smiled. Kevin made the best coffee, and he had come to learn just how you preferred it. "Thank you." You gave Kevin a sincere look, completely forgetting the mild awkward tension from before.
"Don't worry about it, it's the least I could do after what you did for me last night." Kevin cringed at himself. "I can mostly remember everything." You laughed.
"I've never seen you that drunk Kev, it was pretty funny." Remember how he had acted made you grin uncontrollably. You couldn't deny that you had found it kind of cute.
"Yeah, yeah, wait 'til you're the one drunk off your ass and I'm the one who has to look after you," Kevin crossed his arms, "Won't be so funny then." You hoped that day would never come, or at least not anytime soon. You'd like to hold this over Kevin for a bit longer.
You went back to making breakfast, offering Kevin some, which he declined.
A few hours later you found yourself sitting on the couch with Kevin, flipping through YouTube together.
"Y'know, I've been thinking..." Kevin began, stopping his search for a video. "Now that your back to streaming, we could do one together." Kevin glanced at you with a soft smile. You smiled back, a reaction you couldn't even try to control.
"That would be a lot of fun Kev, I would love to." You were actually planning to stream again very soon, but were still unsure of your plan since your last stream was only a day ago. "How about tomorrow?" You suggested.
"Sounds good, you better bring your jokes, unless you want everyone thinking I'm the funny one." Kevin laughed at his joke, and you smirked at his teasing.
"Don't you worry about me tough guy, you worry about me beating you in whatever game we play and embarrassing you in front of thousands of people." You countered.
You spent the evening joking and planning out your joint stream together. You suddenly realized that you would have to reveal Kevin as your new roommate tomorrow. It was pretty obvious, since you had never collaborated with him before, or anyone else for that matter. You didn't want to have to lie about anything and you knew this would be the easiest way to just get past it.
"You know Kevin, I'm gonna have to reveal our secret tomorrow." You whispered to him.
"Aw, really? But it was so much fun having a secret. I never have any." Kevin moped. You laughed at his antics.
You began to daydream about what the stream might be like tomorrow. How would everyone react to the news? You decided not to worry about it, you couldn't let your fears get in the way of what you really wanted, to have fun with your roommate.
