How to save the world (years before it's even in danger!)

~Tony's P.O.V.~

After Ultron was destroyed I was at the office a lot more! I had to! Without Helen Cho and with the new Avengers I had work to do!

I just got my 5 afternoon coffee when a kid walked up to me.

"Mr. Stark please can I have a moment of your time?" The kid asked.

"Look kid, where are your parents?" I asked. The kid must've just gotten out of school, because he still had his backpack with him. I thought he might be visiting his parents.

"At the bottom of the ocean! But they have graves in Queens!" The kid said.

Welp there goes that theory.

"Then how did you get in?" I asked.

"I am more talented than I look!" The kid said.

"Ok then why are you here?" I asked.

"I'm here to apply for an internship!" The kid said while handing me a file.

"We aren't accepting any interns at this time!" I said.

I'm pretty sure that you'll change your mind." The kid said.

He started to walk off and I asked, "how old are you?"

"Older than I look!" The kid responded and left the building.

After he left, Happy ran up to me and I asked , "How did that kid get in here?"

"I don't know! He didn't go through the front, that's for sure!" Happy said.

"Go through the Security footage, figure out how Peter got in!" I said.

"How do you know his name? He didn't say it!" Happy asked.

I held up the file the kid gave me!

On the front it said the name Parker, Peter!

"Oh!" Was all happy said before walking off.

It was a week before I heard any information about Peter!

This wasn't the top priority and Happy had his actual job to do so I had Natasha look into the kid.

"So Nat, what did you find?" I asked.

"Well surprisingly this kid has a clean record! Good grades, stay out of trouble, turn in his homework on time! It's very odd." Nat said.

"Intel he hacked into F.R.I.D.A.Y." Happy said clearly upset at this kid.

Looking at the papers Peter gave me once again I noticed something odd.

"If this kid is so smart, why is he still in high school?" I asked, looking at Nat hoping for an answer.

"Maybe he hides his above average intelligence!" Nat suggested.

"Above Average? Nat he broke into F.R.I.D.A.Y., the most Secure A.I. on the planet! He's past above average! He might even be the smartest person of his generation!" I said.

Apparently Nat saw what I was planning.

"Tony, please tell me you aren't actually considering hiring this kid!" Nat said seriously.

"I'm not considering it! I have already made up my mind!" I said.

"TONY THE KID HACKED INTO YOUR SYSTEM!" Nat yelled.

"All the more reason to have him on our side. He might even make a good Ironman when I retire!" I said teasingly. I wasn't actually considering this kid to be my replacement but Nat's face was making me actually consider it.

With the right training, this kid could be the next me.

"When this blows up in your face, don't say I didn't warn you!" Nat said with venom in her voice. (Because she's a spider! Get it?)

Walking up to the apartment door that Peter lived at was nothing he expected.

No wonder he wanted a job!

His apartment was crap! (Well compared to anything Tony had lived in!)

While looking into him I noticed his address changes quite a bit!

More than likely because his aunt had been jumping between jobs.

I knocked on the door to see a woman who was more than likely Peter's aunt open the door with a bowl of soup in her hand.

She looked completely shocked that I was here so my guess is that Peter didn't tell her anything.

"Does Peter Parker live here?" I asked as if I didn't already know.

"Uhh yes, I'm his aunt!"she said as she set the soup down then I shook her hand.

"Pleased to meet you!" I said.

"Peter is sick right now, but the doctor said that it's not contagious so you can go in there and talk to him." His aunt said, then she picked the soup backup and led me to Peter's room.

I could tell they haven't lived here long because there were boxes stacked in the room!

It only had a twin bed with a teenager wrapped in blankets looking at the ceiling.

"Hey Peter, you have a visitor and I brought soup." His aunt said.

The kid looked over and his eyes widened.

"Mr.Stark?" Peter said hoarsely.

"Hey kid! You sure made an impression with your application for the internship!" I said and his aunt mouthed "we will talk later!" To Peter and left the room.

"What are you doing here?" Peter asked.

"To tell you that I consider your application and you start on the 2nd!" I said.

Peter looked confused. Probably because he was sickly and his brain wasn't functioning properly.

"Are you sure? I can start earlier if you want! I don't have that busy of a Schedule!" Peter said.

Dang this kid is persistent!

"Well as much as I would like that, you are currently sick and need time to heal. Plus Stark Industries will be closed for the rest of the year starting Monday!" I said.

"Oh" was all Peter said before laying back down!

I got up to leave but before I left I said "see you next year kid!"

I said my goodbyes to May then Happy took me home. I don't know why but I feel like this kid is gonna become something amazing when he grows up! Maybe he already was and no one knew it yet! Either way I get a front seat to what he becomes! Maybe this kid will be the next Tony Stark! But better!
