Dhanush ran swiftly as he dodged the first zombie and cut through the second zombies's stomach with his axe making its guts and intestines falling out of it. Meanwhile second zombie came running towards you. You held the hammer in your hands tightly. You swayed it to the side as it smashed the zombie's head. The zombie growled as it fell down to the ground. It got back up again as it looked at you. It pounced on you making you stumble back. You tried to push it away. Before it could bite you its head was beheaded. The blood sprayed on your face . You looked up at Dhanush "I mean thanks... but gross" You made a puking face as Dhanush pulled you up from the ground. Dhanush pulled out a kerchief from his pocket and handed it to you. "Wait we'll get some water so that you could clean your face" You both walked together as your eyes landed on a small shop. "Look" You shook Dhanush's shoulder and pointed to the shop.
"Finally" You felt fresh as you cleaned up the blood from your face. You walked upto a bike that was parked infront of the shop. It had a key. You ran back into the shop to see Dhanush devour a whole bar of chocolate "Want some?" He handed the chocolate infront of your face. You pushed it away. You looked at his other hand "What are those?" "Supplies.... " You peered into the bag "Those are snacks" You raised an eyebrow at him "Exactly....supplies" He reasoned with you. "Whatever come here" You pulled him by his wrist. "See we have a bike what about we use it to get to your house" "Yeah sure" Dhanush plopped the bag in your arms as he got onto the bike. "Do you really have to pack these many snacks?" "Suppliessss.... " He dragged making you roll his eyes. You sat behind him with the huge bag of "supplies" in the middle of you both. He started the bike. He stopped at a place "What happened? Isn't your house a still more distance away" "Look over there how are we supposed to ride upto my house when the zombies are blocking our way" "Oh shit" You slanted your head from behind Dhanush seeing a group of zombies. You and Dhanush got off the bike "Where are the weapons?" You asked Dhanush "I thought you had them" "No you had them remember I handed it to you when I went to wash my face" Dhanush just turned away from you "Whatt? Don't tell me you threw them away at the shop" "I'm sorry" You controlled your annoyance as you looked at him "To hell with your so called supplies" You threw the bag at him. He caught it before his favourite food items could fall out of the bag. You looked around the road if you could find anything to use against the zombies . "(Y/n) look" Dhanush proudly handed a steel pipe to you as he held one "Where did you get it?" "There... they were just laying around" "Whatever" You started walking "(Y/n)... " "What?" "Protect my snacks at all costs" "Shut the hell up will you?" You glared at him as you both moved to the group of zombies "I think we can get to your house if we just dodged these.. " You both tried to walk around the zombies. The zombies soon enough sensed you both as you both started running "Keys to your house" Dhanush took out the keys and threw it over to you. You caught it as you both sprinted to his house. Dhanush hit few zombies that came nearer to him. "Give the bag" You pulled it away from him as you opened the house . Dhanush was tackled by some zombies. You swiftly hit the zombies one by one . Dhanush helped you with some. You pulled him up as you both entered the house. You closed the door and took deep breaths. Dhanush walked upto the door trying to open it. "What are you doing?" You pushed him back from the door "I said I'll protect you (Y/n)" "So.. how will you do that if you go out?" You saw a teardrop rolling down from his eye. "What happened?" You pulled his face up to look at you. He handed out his hand to you. You saw a bite mark in his arm. Your eyes teared up as you saw Dhanush crying now. He hugged you closer "I'll go out before I turn into one.... " You pulled away from the hug "No no no" You cried as you held his hands tightly "(Y/n) I love you..." He kissed you on the lips. You placed your forehead on his. "No you aren't leaving anywhere D" "(Y/n) please understand" "I can't... I love you I cannot lose you" You wrapped your arms around his torso with your head on his chest. You heard his heart beat against his chest rapidly. "I am more than happy now that I know you love me (Y/n) but I don't think I would want someone I love to die I need to protect them and I want to protect you" He sobbed and kissed you on the head "Well I'm not leaving you" You made him sit on the couch "I'll be back and if you try to walk out from here I'll come out with you too... so see you can't protect me either way so just shut it and sit" You glared at him with tears in your eyes. You got some supplies to cover up his bite mark. You used a wet cotton to remove the blood from his arm. Dhanush was looking out the window lost in thought "I think you're that one of a kind who survives a zombie bite" Dhanush finally turned to you. You wrapped a bandage around his arm . You used the medical adhesive tape to hold the bandage together "Done" You sighed as you held his hand "I think you're immune to the disease" "You think so" "Of course like till now you are pretty normal" "How do you say that" You got a thermometer and checked his temperature "See... you are normal zombies have a pretty low temperature they are cold... " You chuckled "Don't worry you're perfectly alright and you won't change into one" "Are you sure? I don't want anything happening to you" "We are fine" You laid your head on his shoulder "Ooo I saved your supplies" You handed the bag to him. Dhanush smiled wide as he took out a favourite food item of his from the bag . You smiled softly at the big baby infront of you.
